'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Spoilers: What's Happening to Elena?

The Vampire Diaries season 4 has quite the November planned as Elena continues to adjust to being a vampire. The CW has announced their November sweeps schedule, and part of it includes spoilers for episode 6, "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes."

Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 6 "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes" Spoilers

"Terrifying hallucinations leave Elena (Nina Dobrev) shaken and confused, causing her to make a dangerous mistake."

Is Elena going to end up taking a life in this episode? Could she end up putting someone in danger? Either seems like a very likely scenario, given this episode description. But what's causing the hallucinations? Will it have something to do with her doppelgänger side and her new vampire side? What is she going to be seeing? This sounds like it could lead to some serious trouble in Mystic Falls, especially if Connor is still around and on the hunt.

Will everyone survive this Vampire Diaries season 4 episode? With Elena confused, she could do anything—and that could leave anyone in danger. Stefan has been worried that if Elena hurts someone, she could turn off her humanity. Will she come close to that in "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes"? Is someone having some fun and doing something to her? There are many questions about this scenario, but one of the main ones has to be: Will everyone still be alive by the end of this episode? With this episode part of November sweeps, you know it's going to be a big one—and that means someone may not make it out of this alive.

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev in Hot Pursuit of 3 Million Followers

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are both nearing 3 million followers on their respective Twitter accounts. "The Vampire Diaries" stars have almost always been close in numbers, but Nina is pulling ahead slightly and she's already asking her followers to help her reach the 3 million mark.

"3 is my moms (@paintaworld) favorite number! I've got 2.8M followers, Help me get to the 3 million mark (sic)," Nina tweeted on October 21. With Ian not far behind her at 2.7 million, the two could find themselves hitting 3 million around the same time and likely before the end of the year. Tons of Nina's fans retweeted her message, and she's already nearing the 2.9 million mark.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev both reached 2 million Twitter followers around the same time. It seems as though they are both equally popular and the number of followers that they have on Twitter proves that in many ways. At this rate, it does seem like Nina is going to hit 3 million before Ian, but you never know.

'Vampire Diaries' season 4 spoilers: More on Elena and casting news

"The Vampire Diaries" is preparing for its return to Channel 6 in Tempe this fall, and now fans are being given more inside scoop on the upcoming season. On Saturday, August 18, Spoilers Guide shared more recent comments made by Paul Wesley. There is also new casting news for the fourth season.

Paul Wesley has been very talkative about the series and his character lately. He made some other recent comments about Stefan and Elena's relationship recently, and now he is revealing who he thinks Elena should be with by the end of season four. He said the following in a recent interview:

"Actually, I don’t want anyone to end up with Elena - it would be far more interesting and profound if she basically said goodbye to the two brothers, and vanished in to thin air, and then maybe got a nice boyfriend, like Matt Donovan, the human.. the only human on the cast. "

Matt is the one that lived instead of her when she told Stefan to pull him out of the car first in the season finale. The pair does have a prior relationship as well. They had just broken up when the series started. As for the series, the professor that will have a connection with Bonnie has been cast. According to TV Guide, David Alpay will play Professor Shane. The character will has a history with Bonnie's family.

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev Mix Business and Pleasure

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are both back to work on The Vampire Diaries but they most certainly find time to relax now and then. While their schedules have them working long, hard hours, they make sure to use their spare time wisely. "Shark week mania!! Timing couldn't be better.. I'm going through Olympic withdrawals (sic)," Nina tweeted on Monday. "Settling down after long day/night of #tvd Good night beautiful world—stay cool (sic)," Ian tweeted on Wednesday. It sounds like Ian and Nina both like to just stay in and kick back when they have a late night—or an early morning.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are more than likely spending these nights in front of the television together. They have been dating for a couple of years now and while they are careful not to reveal too much about their private lives, fans believe that they spend a ton of time together—even if it's just at home hanging out.

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 casts David Alpay as Professor Shane

"The Vampire Diaries" continues to add to its cast of characters for Season 4. David Alpay, who is best known for his work on "The Borgais" and "The Tudors," is set to play a college professor who has a particular interest in the supernatural. As we shared last month, Professor Shane will share a particular connection with Bonnie when he first arrives in the fourth episode. TVGuide reveals that he knows her through her family, so we're hoping his introduction will open us up to a little more of Bonnie's background and family history.

No word yet on whether he'll be a love interest for any of the characters, but hey, look at that face. We'd be interested. Of course, Shane's not your usual college professor. In Season 2, when Damon, Alaric, and Elena visited Isobel's offices at Duke University, we learned that Isobel had been doing some serious research on vampires as part of her studies. Let's just say that Shane has a lot in common with Elena's departed bio-mom. Alpay will recur this season. His storyline will introduce us to the local university, which will help ease the show's transition into the post-high-school world after most of our favorites graduate in the spring.

It seems like he can make some interesting character..Cant wait for Season 4...

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Spoilers: How Long Will the Tyler and Klaus Situation Last?

Michael Trevino told Wetpaint Entertainment, "I'm playing Klaus and I would like to think that it goes on for a few episodes but I think the run as Klaus might end sooner rather than later." As good as Trevino was in the season 3 finale as Klaus, there's nothing like Joseph Morgan in the role. Besides, the sooner Klaus is back in his own body, the sooner Tyler is back in control of his and they can explore the aftermath of the time Klaus spent in Tyler's body—and what he did (because you know he's going to be up to something).

Trevino went on to say, "[Tyler] is not lost forever. I think eventually Tyler will come back into Tyler's body and we should be all good." He and Caroline will have to deal with whatever Klaus did in his body. They had only momentary happiness before it all went to hell at the end of last season, and even once Tyler is back in control, they still have to face the fact that the Council knows what they really are, thanks to Alaric. There's a vampire hunter coming to town, and he's going to mean trouble for everyone. Will Caroline and Tyler get the chance to be together and be happy for an extended period of time with everything going on and graduation approaching? Will their futures take them to different places?

Finally, for The Vampire Diaries season 4 in general, Trevino revealed, "Tyler is going to end up going through a lot. There's going to be a lot of action, a lot of blood. Maybe some bullets, maybe some stakes. But at the end of the day Tyler's shirtless a good amount of the time." What else would you expect with the Originals still around, a vampire hunter coming, Elena as a vampire, and the new threat coming? It should be an exciting season for Vampire Diaries fans.
