Kristen Stewart and Tom Hanks Wow at 2012 Governors Awards Red Carpet

Kristen Stewart and Tom Hanks were among the actors who wowed at 2012 Governors Awards red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles, on Saturday, December 1. Both were on hand to present honorary Oscars to prominent figures in movie industry such as D.A. Pennebaker, Hal Needham, George Stevens Jr. and Jeffrey Katzenberg. 

Kristen donned a Talbot Runhoff lace dress with a plunging neckline. She paired it up with a long black tight shirt and Christian Louboutin black heels. Setting her wavy hair to the side in her signature do, she completed her look with Iwoman Ludyga Design bracelet. The Bella Swan depicter in "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" attended the gala alone.

Meanwhile, Tom went formal by donning a black suit, a matching tie, and white shirt. When he presented Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Jeffrey, he mentioned the philanthropist's action to hold a national telethon post 9/11 attacks.

"Jeffrey Katzenberg doesn't have to do any of these things. But Jeffrey Katzenberg cannot help but to do all of these things... It is in his DNA, " the "Cloud Atlas" actor gushed. "Jeffrey Katzenberg is a brilliant man, a hardworking man, a visionary and one of the most powerful men [in Hollywood]. But more than anything else, Jeffrey Katzenberg is a public servant."

Other actors and actresses strolling down the red carpet were Will Smith, Helen Hunt, Steven Spielberg, Richard Gere, Amy Adams, Christoper Nolan, George Lucas, Bradley Cooper, Ewan McGregor, Quentin Tarantino, Leslie Mann and husband Judd Apatow. Hosting the gala was Seth MacFarlane.

Pennebaker, Hal, George, and Jeffrey were honored for their great contributions to the industry. Documentary filmmaker Pennebaker helped to create a medium mainstream with his direct-cinema approach. Meanwhile, director and legendary stuntman Hal was credited for developing new approaches of performing and directing death-defying film stunts. While George was honored for founding the American Film Institute and setting up the Kennedy Center Honors, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey was awarded for raising money for charity.

Daniel Craig Jokes on Not Wanting Kristen Stewart as Bond Girl: 'No, She's in 'Twilight'

Kristen Stewart recently said that she'd love to be a Bond girl someday, but that didn't sound like a good idea for the James Bond depicter himself, Daniel Craig. In a recent interview with Australian radio show "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" to promote "Skyfall", the British actor jokingly said that he didn't hope K-Stew would be his next leading lady in a 007 film. 

"No, she's in 'Twilight'," so the blue-eyed thesp said with a straight face when asked what he thought if Kristen's cast as Bond babe. Noticing that he might be too harsh with his comment, the husband of Rachel Weisz quickly clarified that he didn't mean anything bad and explained that he said it because his film was competing with "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" on this week's box office.

He said with a chuckle, "No, I'm being nasty. I'm only saying that because it's [Breaking Dawn Part 2] coming out this weekend so we're in direct competition with them." He finally admitted that Kristen could be a perfect Bond girl, gushing, "I'm sure she'd make a great Bond girl." 

Released in the U.S. last November 9, "Skyfall" has bagged a total domestic cume of $160.9 million so far. In its hometown in the U.K., the spy movie, which has been dubbed the best Bond film to date, has officially become the second biggest grosser of all time, trailing behind James Cameron's "Avatar". 

"It's been a wild, fantastic ride. The holds have been extraordinary and people will want to see this film again and again," Sony president of worldwide distribution Rory Bruer said of the achievement.

Kristen Stewart Signs On to 'Snow White' Sequel but Rupert Sanders Is Out

Kristen Stewart will likely not reunite with director Rupert Sanders for the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, if Radar Online can be trusted. The site shares the words that the "Twilight Saga" actress has officially signed on to reprise her role as the fair-skinned princess, but the English helmer, who was caught making out with the actress earlier this year, won't be part of the sequel to the movie that has rocketed his name in filmmaking world.

An insider tells the site, "The script has already been written and production will begin late next year." The source adds, "However, Rupert Sanders definitely won't be a part of the project. Rupert didn't want to be a part of it to begin with because he is desperately still trying to save his marriage. The search is still on for a new director."

This new report is quite contrary to previous report suggesting that Rupert might return to helm the sequel, which has been planned to focus more on Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman. Kristen herself recently said that "no one's positive or anything" related to the sequel project. She told The Hollywood Reporter, "But I think there's a strong possibility."

Back in August, THR reported that Kristen was dropped out of the fairytale franchise following her much-publicized cheating scandal with Rupert. Universal Pictures, however, brushed off the report, "We are extremely proud of Snow White and the Huntsman and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false."

Kristen herself was reportedly "panicking" about her career prospect after the "Snow White" cheating scandal. An insider says, "Kristen is extremely concerned about her acting career. Other than the Snow White sequel she isn't attached to any other projects. There are scripts coming in, but not as many good ones as she would like."

"It's distressing to Kristen that Rob [Robert Pattinson] is attached to four separate movies over the next year-and-a-half. Even her Twilight co-stars, Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene, are more in demand than ever, with both committed to two different movies each. Kristen just hopes that that the fallout over her relationship with Rupert doesn't hurt her career."

Box Office: 'Breaking Dawn II' Reigns With Massive Opening, Breaks Franchise Record

As predicted by many observers, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" successfully claims victory on North American box office with record-breaking opening in November. Grabbing an estimated $141.3 million, the final installment of the "Twilight Saga" film series marks the biggest debut this month in addition to scoring some other records domestically and globally. 

Gaining an "A" CinemaScore, "Breaking Dawn II" also scores big with a record-breaking $340.9 million worldwide, which marks the best global opening ever for the franchise. Internationally, the Bill Condon-helmed movie takes in $199.6 million from 61 markets.

The finale becomes the second biggest opener for the famous vampire movie franchise. Though scoring big on its first weekend, the movie released on November 18 can't beat the $142.8 million opening collected by its predecessor "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" on the same November weekend in 2009.

Compared to previous "Twilight" movie, this final chapter draws more male audience who make up 21% of the ticketbuyers. 50% of the moviegoers are over the age of 25, reflecting the aging fanbase famously known as Twi-hards.

Dropping from the top spot last week is "Skyfall", which secures the runner-up place with around $41.5 million. The twenty-third James Bond movie also breaks worldwide record by grossing $669.2 million, marking the top-grossing 007 film of all time. Domestically, the Daniel Craig-starring actioner bags a total cume of $161.3 million after two weeks of playing nationwide.

Landing on the third spot, Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" rakes in an estimated $21 million after it gets expanded into nationwide release this weekend. Meanwhile, "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Flight" place fourth and fifth respectively. The animated movie bags around $18.3 million on its second weekend, while the pilot drama collects approximately $8.6 million on its third weekend.

In the box office specialty, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's highly-praised dramedy, "Silver Linings Playbook", performs strong in 16 theaters as it takes in around $458,430 for a location average of $28,652. The film was originally projected to open nationwide just in time for Thanksgiving, but the plan was scrapped in order to build momentum throughout awards season. The film will expand to just 400 theaters this coming Wednesday, November 21. 

Another potential awards contender, "Anna Karenina", also performs well in 16 screens in select cities. Already earning $10.8 million overseas, the Keira Knightley and Jude Law-starring period drama grosses an estimated $315, 395 for a location average of $19,712.

Kristen Stewart Gets Sexy, Robert Pattinson Keeps It Classy at 'Breaking Dawn II' U.K. Premiere

After attending a star-studded premiere in Hollywood, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" lead cast members jetted off to England to throw another starry special screening event in Robert Pattinson's hometown. Held on Wednesday evening, November 14, the premiere put Kristen Stewart and Rob under the spotlight just like when they were hitting the L.A. event.

For the special night, Kristen opted to go with a very revealing number that exposed her beauty and sexiness on the red carpet. The Bella Cullen depicter bared her back and much of her skin in a sheer Zuhair Murad jumpsuit with sequin and lace details to cover the actress' private areas. To team her sexy ensemble, Kristen sported smokey-eye make up and let her brown hair loose naturally. 

Rob, on the other hand, looked handsome in a tailored Burberry suit. He opted for a more traditional look compared to the one he sported when attending the L.A. premiere. At the time, he brought color to the black carpet with an eye-catchy green suit. During the London event, which took place at Odeon Leicester Square, Rob and Kristen were all smiles together and at one point, they were spotted holding hands while posing for the cameramen. 

Taylor Lautner was also on hand to support the promotional event. The Jacob Black depicter oozed masculinity in a black shirt that he wore under his navy suit by Z Zegna. Meanwhile, a number of British celebrities also went high fashion when stepping out on the red carpet. They included MyAnna Buring, Judi Shekoni, Jamie Campbell Bower and Peaches Geldof. Boyband Union J and girlband The Saturdays were among the other guests of the night. 

The final chapter of the "Twilight Saga" film series will open wide in the U.S. cinemas on November 16. In it, Bella and Edward will face a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the council of vampire leaders.

Kristen Stewart walked down the red carpet of "On the Road" screening solo, but she's joined by Robert Pattinson when attending an after party later in the day. The "Twilight Saga" couple reportedly had a fun night as they danced together at one point during the gathering. 

E! News reported that K-Stew hung out with her co-star Amy Adams by a fire at the beginning of the party, while R-Pattz chatted with other people nearby. After the "Man of Steel" star left, they continued mingling with other guests separately before he joined her on the dance floor.

They reportedly got playful with each other. The "Cosmopolis" actor showed off his dance moves, whispered in her ear, and put his arm around her. The "Snow White and the Huntsman" star was in great spirit as well, rubbing his head and patting his chest several times during the encounter.

Kristen attended the party at the Roosevelt Hotel after leaving the movie screening across the street at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She and Robert spent the evening on the Garden Terrace. He left at around 1 A.M. and she called it a night a few minutes later.

The "Welcome to the Rileys" actress traded her Balenciaga white bra top she donned on the red carpet with a black leather jacket and black tank top for the after party. The "Water for Elephants" actor wore an equally casual number that consisted of a black jacket and jeans.

Kristen and Robert are expected to reunite on the red carpet of "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" later this month. It will mark their first official public appearance together since they were rumored rekindling their romance after splitting following her affair with married director Rupert Sanders.

Twilight fans got a peek at a new clip from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 on Thursday.

MTV debuted a new clip on the air as part of a sitdown interview with stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Spoiler alert!
In the clip, Jacob (Lautner) meets Bella (Stewart) for the first time after she's been transformed into a vampire.
"I didn't except you to seem so ... you. Except for the creepy eyes," he tells her.
Bella then warns him to keep his distance.
They also reference Bella and Edward's (Pattinson) new baby, Renesmee, although it seems that Bella isn't yet aware that Jacob has "imprinted" -- the process by which a werewolf like Jacob becomes bound to a person for life -- on her daughter.

The movie, the fifth and final installment in the franchise, hits theaters Nov. 16.

The Twilight twosome looked like their normal, casual-chic selves at Hollywood Forever Cemetery's Halloween bash, with the exception of creepy transparent masks covering their faces. The partial costumes made Robsten appear to have cartoon-esque features, including a perma-smile on K.Stew and a creepy mustache on Rob.

The duo even held hands as they made their way into the party, R.Pattz leading the way past fellow costumed guests.


Later in the night, Kristen, 22, went incognito with a pink wig and sunglasses. Katy Perry, a friend of the couple's, also came out for the night. The theatrical California Gurl, wearing a voluminous black wig, dressed as Jane Lane, the cartoon best friend of MTV's Daria.

As fans around the world gear up to watch Twilight Eclipse this summer, the third movie in the Twilight Saga, the internet has become a buzz with all kinds of Twilight trivia, Twilight parodies, and Twilight rumors. It seems like every other day another supermarket tabloid releases a questionable "interview" with one of the stars of Twilight. Is Robert Pattinson dating Kristen Stewart? Is Taylor Lautner really dead? Is Dakota Fanning a vampire in real life? Is Robert Pattinson straight? The list goes on and on..

If you're not a hardcore Twilight fan you probably don't care much about all this fanfare, but if you plan on going to watch Twilight Eclipse with some of your friends in theatres, there are some basic elements of the story that you should familiarize yourself with before heading out to watch the Twilight Eclipse movie so you're not lost when the action begins.

The Twilight Saga, written by author Stephanie Meyer and directed by David Slade, centers around the life of Isabella Swan, a young and socially awkward girl played by Kristen Stewart that moves from Phoenix to live with her father in Washington state. Bella, as she is affectionately known by her friends, is a quiet girl with low self esteem who tends to keep to herself at first. During her first days in her new school she encounters a young boy named Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, who she finds interesting. At first, Edward shuns and avoids her, making Bella feel even more self conscious about herself, but he eventually warms up to her and they become friends. Edward is adored by all the other girls in school and Bella cannot understand why he bothers to spend so much time around her.

Over the course of the next few days she notices very curious and unexplainable events surrounding her friendship with Edward Cullen. One day he saves her life in the school parking lot by stopping a car that was careening out of control towards her with his bare hands. He is also strangely absent from school on sunny days, and has noticeably pale skin that is cold to the touch. As Bella's suspicions and curiosity reach a boiling point, she begins to investigate these oddities and eventually learns that Edwards strangeness is indeed unique. He is a vampire. Feeling like you want to watch to watch Twilight Eclipse yet?

As the story progresses the two begin to fall in love and spend more and more time with each. Edward tells Bella that she is the only thing in his life that he feels is worth living for. The action in Twilight picks up when other rival vampires come to town and begin attacking humans randomly as the locals attribute the attacks to wild animals. At one point Bella's life is threatened by these other vampires and Edward and the rest of the Cullen family try to protect her from them as they pursue her. Bella ends up being bitten by one of the vampires during a confrontation and is saved only when Edwards is forced to drink her blood in order to remove the poison.

The story continues in Twilight New Moon as Bella and Edward are spending their days together in quiet happiness. During a birthday celebration for Bella at the Cullens residence Bella accidentally cuts her hand and sets off an incident in which Jasper Hale, played by Jackson Rathbone, loses control at the sight of her blood and tries to attack her. The situation is quickly diffused by Edward, but he realizes how selfish he is being by constantly putting Bella's life in danger by allowing her to be with him. He tell her that he loves her but that he has no choice but to leave her and never see her again. Bella is devastated by Edward's absence and falls into a deep depression shortly after him and his family leave town. She stops seeing her friends and speaks to almost nobody other than her own father. In her sadness, she begins to hallucinate and sees ghostly images of Edward wherever she goes.

She eventually finds solace in an old childhood friend, Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner. Jacob is a Native American boy who Bella knew in her youth because their fathers are old friends. As she spends more and more time with Jacob she momentarily begins to forget Edward and finds herself having feelings for Jacob, though he is younger than her by a few years. Jacob also has strong feelings towards Bella and eventually lets her know how he feels about her. A short while later Jacob disappears for a period of time, and when he returns to see Bella she finds out that he too has a secret that he has been keeping from her. Jacob Black is a werewolf. Still not sure if you want to watch Twilight Eclipse yet?

Just around this time Ashley Cullen, played by Ashley Greene, arrives in town and tells Bella that her brother Edward has gone to see a group of ruthless vampires known as the Volturi in order to commit suicide because he is under the impression that Bella was dead. Ashley has visions of future and during one of her visions she saw Bella jumping into the water and drowning and Edward found out about it. Of course Bella had not really drowned that day and was actually saved by her friend Jacob.

Bella rushes to stop Edward from committing suicide by revealing himself to humanity as a vampire, for which he will be executed by the vicious Volturi clan. She is successful in stopping Edward and he tells her that he has always loved her and only left to protect her and the thought of her no longer being alive was too much for him to bear and that is why he wanted to kill himself. Though Jacob and Edward are sworn enemies, the two agree to a truce for the sake of protecting Bella, as long as the Cullens never bite a human.

Kristen Stewart part 7

Adventureland hit movie stores and online outlets this past week. Don't worry if you didn't see this movie in the theaters or haven't had a chance to rent it, because you've seen this movie before. Adventureland follows an old formula: boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Something happens that make boy and girl break up. Of course, they still love each other. Then something happens that brings boy and girl back together.

It's not that formulas are bad. Plenty of movies are based on the same concepts and ideas. For example: Something tragic happens to character X's family. Character X seeks revenge. Character X gets his revenge. Apply this formula one way and we get The Outlaw Josey Wales. Apply it in another way and we get Punisher: Warzone. The difference is that the first movie had something to say and the second movie was an excuse to show explosions on the big screen.

Adventureland falls into the second category of movie that has nothing to say. Greg Mottola, who directed Superbad, has brought nothing new to a genre that is already crowded by other movies saying the exact same thing. It's Say Anything, without the boom box. It's Jerry Maguire without the You had me at hello. It's The Notebook, but without the notebook.

I could almost forgive Mottola for creating a movie that has no interest in being anymore than what it is. Not every film can have a defining moment that captures an audience's heart or defines a generation. However, every movie should have characters that the audience cares about. There should be some connection between characters in a movie and the audience. Audiences wanted Marty McFly to get back to the future just as much as they wanted Biff to get his butt kicked. We loved Marty: we hated Biff. However, we had a connection with Biff, because we have all known a Biff that we wanted to punch in the nose.

Mottola has failed to create and develop characters that we care about one-way or the other. If James and Em get back together, that's fine. If they don't get back together, that's fine. If Mike is cheating on his wife, that's fine. If they all get hit by a bus, that's fine too. The impression is that Mottola doesn't care about his characters and if a director doesn't care about his characters then why should we? It's a shame, because the film has a very talented roster.

In the lead role of James is Jesse Eisenberg. James is the self-deprecating, uncomfortable, nerdy guy who is figuring out life. Eisenberg is perfect in the role. He has perfected this same character in other movies like Rodger Dodger and The Hunting Party. Even money says that he will play the same type of character in Zombieland (hmmm.....Adventureland to Zombieland. Coincidence? ).

Playing Eisenberg's love interest is Kristen Stewart...give me a moment to regain my composure.... Stewart plays Em, the girl that shows James the amusement park ropes. I will go on record right now saying, "I like Kristen Stewart." She reminds me of the girl in school (high school, GED classes, college) who is hotter than a three-alarm fire, but has a low self-esteem. You know the girl who has to cover everything, from the bangs that go past her eyes to the baggy clothes that cover everything else. The girl who thinks that she has to look weird and reject others before they can reject her. The girl who could have anyone, if she were to give it half a chance.

Of course, James falls deeply and madly in love with her before she even opens her mouth. I don't blame the guy; it's Kristen Stewart! However, there is not one single moment in the film that we can see a spark between the two of them. The movie goes from the two of them meeting and then jumps to them being in love. It just happens and we have to go along with it, because Mottola hasn't given us any other choice.

In this type of movie there is always something that tears the happy couple apart. Playing the wedge that comes between James and Em is Mike, played by Ryan Reynolds. I like Reynolds as an actor. He has talent and in movies, like Adventureland, he gets to show it. Too often we see Reynolds in movies where he is the smart ass or the class clown. I admit it; he does a great job in movies like Van Wilder, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, and Waiting. But, it's movies like Definitely, Maybe, The Nines and The Amityville Horror that we really get to see Reynolds shine.

They are often regarded as the first all-girl band that has joined the elite list of bands that consistently fill arenas with their rock acts.

The movie focuses on the origin of the band, how the band got into place, and its ultimate rise to success and fame. Cherry Bomb, the band's first hit in the United States, became their flagship song and placed their band in the music industry. One successful concert after another helped make them even more famous. They did not only make it big here in the U.S, since they also became quite popular in the rest of the world. They particularly stamped their band's worldwide fame when they reached Japan. Their hit song Neon Angels on the Road to Ruin stayed popular for a very long time there and in most of the world.

Kirsten Stewart stars as Joan Jett in this movie. She did a lot of rehearsals during the making of this movie. Her role is the exact opposite of her role in Twilight, so she had to forget her Bella Swan side and become the iconic rock chick that her role demanded her to be.

She has a steamy scene with fellow popular actress Dakota Fanning. This scene has catapulted the movie to newer heights of popularity. It has made the internet world searching and reading about the movie months before its release. Kirsten Stewart will prove in this movie that she can outdo her stellar performance in the Twilight saga. The making of the Runaways proves that her role is a tough one, but she is definitely up to the challenge. The Runaways is due for release in 2010.
