Madonna Puts Her Upper West Side Home on Market for $23M

Madonna is selling her Harperley Hall apartment located in the upper West Side for a reported $23.5 million. The news comes just a few months after she unloaded her $28 million French Country-style mansion, which she bought while she's married to Guy Ritchie in 2003. 

According to a listing information provided by Brown Harris Stevens, Madge's pad is a duplex on the fifth and sixth floor of a building at West 64th Street and Central Park West. It stands in a 6,000 square feet property with 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

Decorated by Madge's younger brother and interior designer Christopher Ciccone, it has a nearly 110 feet of frontage onto Central Park and boasts "great rooms on both levels are set off by wide Juliet balconies with French doors opening onto the Park." 

In a 2007 interview, Ciccone said the pad consisted of three units; one bought by Madge when she was married to Sean Penn, another purchased by her after their divorce, and the other bought by her when she decided to renovate the place.

Madonna Dances 'Gangnam Style' With PSY at New York Gig

Madonna brought in a special surprise guest during her second Madison Square Garden show on Tuesday, November 13. Korean pop dance sensation PSY shared the massive stage with the pop queen as they performed the global hit "Gangnam Style" and jammed on two other songs.


PSY flew in straight from Germany and had a grand entrance at the concert venue via a stage trap door during Madonna's performance of her song "Give It 2 Me". The K-pop star shot up on stage while wearing a glaring all-red suit and then burst into his signature "Gangnam Style" dance steps with Madonna and her dancers all raving and imitating the horse-riding giddy-up moves.

While PSY showed more of his horsey moves, the Material Girl slowly backed it up into the K-pop star and then crawled down through his legs, eventually climbing up on his back and riding him like a pony. The two continued their on stage party with a go at Madonna's "Music" and with PSY grinding up on the pop diva which sent audience into a more heightened party mode.

Madonna told the crowd that she was a huge fan of PSY and he returned the compliment by saying that the Madonna gig topped his list of accomplishments.

The Korean singer's "Gangnam Style" video is a massive global hit that went viral after being posted on YouTube in July. It has more than 130 million views from 220 countries in less than two months as reported by the Korean Herald. 

National Front, French Far Right, To File Complaint Against Madonna

PARIS — France's far-right National Front said Sunday that it plans to sue Madonna after the singer showed a video at a Paris concert that contained an image of the party's leader with a swastika on her forehead.

The video has been shown at other concerts on the singer's tour, and the party has expressed its outrage before, warning that it would take action if the video were shown in France. On Saturday night, Madonna played it at the Stade de France.

National Front spokesman Alain Vizier said Sunday that the party would file a complaint in French court next week for "insults."

Party leader Marine Le Pen is briefly pictured in the video during a montage in which famous faces – or parts of faces – morph one into the next. Soon after Le Pen's face flashes up, Madonna's face follows with Hitler's mustache.

Le Pen, who inherited control of the party from her father, Jean-Marie, has tried to shed the National Front's image as racist and anti-Semitic, especially during her recent failed bid for president. But she has maintained a hard line on immigrants, saying France has too many and criticizing many Muslims, in particular, for insufficiently assimilating into French culture.

Meanwhile, anti-racism group SOS Racisme expressed its support for Madonna on Sunday, commending her for her "resolutely anti-racist and feminist discourse."
