Rihanna's 'Unapologetic' Takes Top Spot on Billboard Hot 200

It is official, Rihanna finally has a No.1 album with her latest effort "Unapologetic". The seventh studio album sold 238,000 copies in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan. Before this achievement, Rihanna was holding the record for an artist with the most No.1 singles on the Hot 100 chart but without a No.1 album.

The 14-track set was released on November 19, and despite getting some mixed reviews from fans and music critics, Reuters still reported that it shot to the top of the iTunes charts in 43 countries. Billboard also added that the new album's numbers surpassed the Barbadian singer's previous best frame, 2010's "Loud", which debuted at No. 3 with 207,000.

In the meantime, the album's lead single "Diamonds" nabbed the top spot in the Billboard 100 chart last week and earned the 24-year-old performer her 12th No.1 single. The song joins other Rihanna No.1 singles such as "Umbrella", "S.O.S", "Live Your Life" (with T.I.), "Take a Bow", "Disturbia", "Only Girl (In the World)", "Rude Boy", "Love the Way You Lie" (with Eminem), "What's My Name" (with Drake), "S&M", and "We Found Love".

Rihanna has been working uber hard at promoting "Unapologetic", which also contains her controversial collaboration with ex-beau Chris Brown titled "Nobody's Business". She recently wrapped up her 777 Tour in support of the album. The tour comprised of "7 shows, in 7 countries, in 7 days."

Rihanna Parties With Chris Brown After His Berlin Concert

Rihanna is still in touch with Chris Brown after she denied their reunion. On Thursday, November 22, she tweeted, "#Berlin #CarpeDiem." On the same day, she was snapped attending the "Look at Me Now" singer's concert in Berlin.

After watching the concert from an operation desk in front of the stage, where Chris was performing to promote his fifth album "Fortune", RiRi had a Thanksgiving bash together with her ex-boyfriend at a night club. After partying, both superstars got into the same car. RiRi donned a brown jacket, while Chris donned a coat and covered his head with what looked like a scarf.

A day before she watched him performing, she posted a picture of an aircraft cabin on Instagram with a message read, "All alone in my big ole jet!!! See u soon lover." The message raised a speculation about whom she called a lover. A fan asked her on Instagram, " 'Lover' chris Brown?"

On November 9, the "We Found Love" songstress was questioned by Power 106 radio host Big Boy about whether she dated the R&B singer, who has just split from Karrueche Tran. "No," she replied very quickly.

Back in August, the "Diamonds" singer, who has just finished her 777 Tour, talked about her feeling toward Chris to Oprah Winfrey in an episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter". "It's awkward because I still love him. I think he was the love of my life. He was my first love," RiRi opened up. However, she added, "We've been working on our friendship again and now we're very close friends."

Rihanna Apologizes to Disappointed Journalists in 777 Tour

Rihanna has offered her apology to 150 neglected and disappointed journalists, who have been coming along with her during 777 Tour to promote her new album "Unapologetic". The R&B singer talked to the group of journalists in Boeing 777, RiRi's 777 Tour jetplane, when they almost reached the final location of the tour, New York City.

"Guess what, we made it! This has been an experience that I will never ever forget. I barely slept. My sleeping was all done on this plane," the "We Found Love" hitmaker stated. "I want to thank everyone for making this trip the s**t. I want to see the naked Australian!" she referred to an Australian journalist, who went nude to express his frustration concerning RiRi who was unavailable for any interview during the flight.

"I was glad I did this. Absolutely. Tonight is the night everything we did this week goes off," she said. She then expressed her regrets for the frustrated journalists who had awful experience during the chaotic flight, saying, "I know you guys got barely dirt. But I had to be good. I still sound like s**t. It's impossible to spend time with everybody, and I'm sorry I didn't."

The "Only Girl (In the World)" songstress went on, "But this was excellent and I would definitely do it again." She then talked about her plan for a similar tour, "I would do this next time with more people, more cities and sit back the fans more."

The 24-year-old singer recently didn't feel good with her throat. She explained, "I had to preserve my health. Normally, I'd be back here popping bottles with y'all... I had to preserve my voice. I was worried about my body more than partying on the plane, so I had to just sleep whenever I could." She continued, "I hope you guys had as much fun as I did."

Previously, in a recent behind-the-scene video, she also complained about her sore throat. She said, "I woke up coughing on the plane and I took some cough syrup, some cold and sinus tablets, lozenges. I'm drinking lots of water and [multivitamin supplement] Berocca."

She also expressed her worry that the passengers could spread contagious illness such as flu in the aircraft. In another video of the tour, RiRi said, "There's so many people on the plane. One flight alone is bad enough, seven of them... We'll definitely be sharing some flu's on this plane. I know that sounds gross but that's life. So everybody just has to make sure that they pay attention to themselves and their health throughout."

RiRi began the tour on Wednesday, November 14, carrying 150 journalists and some lucky fans. She performed in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London, before ending the tour in New York City, on Tuesday, November 20.

The flight was described as horrible and frustrating by the press since they suffered from lack of sleep, food, and sunlight. The disgruntlement reached the peak when the "What's My Name?" singer didn't show up and talk to them for a few days.

The journos then held protests by shouting her nickname, RiRi, many times. They also yelled, "I need a headline," and "Just one quote!" When the ex-girlfriend of Chris Brown still didn't appear, an Australian journalist then stripped naked and ran across the cabin, cheered by other columnists.

The disgruntled press didn't stop there. On Tuesday, November 20, one of the columnists spread fake posters of Rihanna with "Missing" big caption during the flight from London to New York. The cynical flyer mentioned the superstar's birthday and physical description.

The fake flyers had a message read, "Rihanna was last seen November 14 on a Boeing 777 giving champagne around. She has not been seen or heard from since. She sports numerous tattoos." Seemingly, the journalist's flyers worked out after all when the singer finally opened up to the crowd.

Rihanna's 777 Tour Went Chaotic as Journalist Stripped Naked on Plane

Rihanna caused a frustrated journalist to go nude when she recently didn't give any chances for the press to communicate with her. The naked journalist was believed to work at Melbourne's Fox FM in Australia. The crowd cheered while watching the undressed guy running across the cabin.

The other journalists jetted with Rihanna were also disappointed at the R&B singer. In a video uploaded on YouTube, the journalists shouted the "We Found Love" hitmaker's nickname, RiRi, many times to ask her to come out and see them. They also shouted, "I need a headline," and "Just one quote!"

Fuse News Reporter Esteban Serano, who watched the chaos, reported that every journalist was ready to take a glimpse of Rihanna on the plane with no success these days. He added, "We were looking for a story but we turned out to be the story."

Another journalist, Jason Newman, tweeted on Sunday, November 18, "Crowd chanted 'Just one quote!,' 'I need a headline!' and 'Occupy 777' while Aussie journo stripped naked and ran around the plane." Additionally, MTV journalist Mary H.K. Choi cynically tweeted, "The Australian with the harmonica STREAKED the plane as the press corp chanted. #RIHANNAPLANE #WHEREHAVEYOUBEENALLTHISFLIGHT."

The "Rude Boys" songstress had taken pictures and interacted with the passengers at first. However, she recently stopped seeing them, causing frustration among the crowd. The 24-year-old singer reportedly hid inside a special panic room on the jet plane.

Rolling Stone writer Jef Rosenthal revealed, "We haven't seen Rihanna offstage since the first day, unless you count her popping up at baggage claim for a few moments on the morning of the second."

Rihanna started the tour on Wednesday, November 14, accompanied by 150 journalists and a few lucky fans. First, she landed on Mexico City before jetting to Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, and Berlin. On Monday, November 19, she performed in London, while the next day, she will entertain the crowd of New York.

"I am so excited about the 777 Tour," RiRi uttered via her official site. "We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus. We're practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press... it's going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n'roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the coolest thing I've ever done. I'm that excited about it."

Artist of the Week: Rihanna

Scoring a lot of hit records and collecting countless awards doesn't make Rihanna slow down. Just a year after releasing critically-acclaimed album "Talk That Talk", she is preparing another CD and has already made a good start by ruling R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with its lead single "Diamonds".

Amid lots of criticisms following her reconciliation with Chris Brown, RiRi seems to express her feeling in the title, "Unapologetic". Undeterred by the mixed responses to her rebuilt relationship with Breezy, the Bajan songstress includes "Nobody's Business" that features her ex-boyfriend.

The 24-year-old artist samples Michael Jackson's 1987 hit single "The Way You Make Me Feel" for the upbeat collaboration. She hints that she will address the current media scrutiny over her as saying that the track is "basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life."

In the spirit of her seventh album, RiRi announces a 777 promo tour that will take place for 7 days and span 7 shows in 7 selected countries. She is set to fly from one venue to another on a chartered Boeing 777 twinjet along with some of her Rihanna Navy members and a group of over 150 journalists.

"We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus," she gushes. "We're practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press...it's going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n' roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the coolest thing I've ever done."

Audio: Rihanna and Chris Brown's Latest Collaboration 'Nobody's Business'

Amid their much-talked-about reunion rumors, Rihanna and Chris Brown reveal their latest collaboration "Nobody's Business" lifted off RiRi's upcoming album "Unapologetic". Through the easy-listening song, which boasts 90s post-disco beats, the Bajan beauty and her ex-beau Breezy seem to want the world to know that whatever happens in their tumultuous relationship, "it ain't nobody's business."

Inspired by the tune in Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel", the new song has bold lyrics that spark speculations that RiRi and Breezy are indeed rekindling their romance though they recently denied it. "You'll always be mine, sing it to the world/Always be my boy, I'll always be your girl/Nobody's business, ain't nobody's business," so the songstress sings in the chorus.

"Your love is perfection, please point me in the right direction/ I'mma give you all my affection/Every touch becomes infectious/ Let's make out in this Lexus/ There's no other love just like this/ A life with you I want, then can we become love's persona," the duo croon.

"Nobody's Business" (formerly titled "Nobodies Business") is included in RiRi's seventh studio installment "Unapologetic", which will be released Stateside on November 19. The Bajan beauty is currently busy promoting the album as she kicked off her "777 " tour in Mexico City on Thursday, November 15.

Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and More Fight Pandora Over 'Internet Radio Fairness Act'

Katy Perry, Rihanna and Maroon 5 are among 125 popular musicians who have signed their names on an open letter to congress directly opposing the "Internet Radio Fairness Act". According to research, the bill, proposed by the popular music-streaming site Pandora Radio, could sharply cut musicians' royalty payments for up to 85 percent .

In the artists-signed letter titled "A Musicians' Perspective On Pandora", musicians such as Billy Joel, Missy Elliott, Ludacris and Pink Floyd criticized Pandora Media Inc. for seeking to cut royalty payments of artists when his or her songs are played over the Internet.

Pandora is currently lobbying U.S. Congress to pass the said bill that hopes to level the playing field when it comes to royalty rates paid to musicians. The bill suggests that online radio services pay studios and artists fees that are comparable to radio and satellite radio providers.

MusicFirst Coalition and SoundExchange are two organizations on the side of the musicians saying that such bill could "slash" musician's royalty payments for up to 85 percent if passed. However, Pandora insists that the current law penalizes new media and that the business model needs to change so that internet radio royalty fees are in line with what cable or satellite radio pays. Pandora gets a huge part of its funding through advertising, but the more listeners Pandora gains, the more money the internet music streaming company must pay for rights to stream such music.

The open letter states, "Why is the company asking Congress once again to step in and gut the royalties that thousands of musicians rely upon? That's not fair and that's not how partners work together." Billboard magazine is set to publish the letter in its entirety this weekend.

Chris Brown Dresses as Islamic Terrorist For Rihanna Halloween Party

Chris Brown Dresses as Islamic Terrorist For Rihanna Halloween Party

Chris Brown, a man already linked to violence and destruction on a regular basis, hit up Rihanna's Halloween party last night dressed as ... a stereotypical Islamic terrorist.

Here's the singer and his crew, Taliban style:

The 23-year-old and his pals donned beards, turbans and fake guns as they made their way to a TSA Watch List Greystone Manor in West Hollywood.

"Ain't nobody F--king wit my clique!!! #ohb," Chris tweeted, classily.

Chris Brown himself hasn't commented beyond that, but his mother, Joyce Hawkins, weighed in: "HALLOWEEN IS FOR FUN NOTHING MORE THAN JUST FUN."

"GET A LIFE PLEASE."

Thanks, Joyce. We'll do that. It's not like your boy goes out of his way to court controversy.

Halloween is the time for shock value, but still. You'd think a convicted woman-beater with obvious rage issues might opt for a costume a little less provocative.

Karrueche Tran Plans to Win Chris Brown Back, "Edge Rihanna Out of the Picture"

Chris Brown's recently-dumped ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran isn't giving up on a future with him, according to reports. Guess she's even more naive than we thought.

Karrueche is reportedly telling friends she's not about to throw in the towel regarding her relationship with Chris just because Rihanna is back in the picture.

Sources say Tran was pissed when Brown gave her the chop this month, but never stopped loving him and is on a mission to WIN BREEZY BACK.

Women never seem to learn when it comes to this guy.

One source says Karrueche "got used to certain level of celebrity" while dating Chris, and is not ready to "go back to being basic" ... such pure motivations.

Even if that means hanging out with Chris (which she was earlier this week) while he's clearly putting it to Rihanna, Karrueche is willing to go there - for now.

Her ultimate goal is to "edge Rihanna back out of the picture." Good luck there.

KT and CB dated for about a year, but he broke up with her two weeks ago.

His reason? The guy just loves TOO much. "I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna," Brown Tweeted.

Emma Watson and Rihanna are new BFFs

EMMA Watson has got herself an unlikely new pal — pop megastar RIHANNA.

The girls are co-starring in new film The End Of The World and immediately hit it off on set.

Emma — dressed in jeans, a tight grey vest and matching grey blazer — laughed and joked with the We Found Love singer between takes.

Her new co-star couldn’t be more different to her Potter pals Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint — and the new friendship might help the 22-year-old actress shed her clean-cut image.

The Bajan star was spotted larking around with another girlfriend but also spent plenty of time chatting to Emma.
The new BFFs both play themselves in the movie, which is written and directed by comedy hero Seth Rogen.

The comedy action film will see the apocalypse break out while a whole host of stars — all appearing as themselves — attend a party at James Franco’s house.

Harry Potter actress Emma seems to be enjoying being on set in New Orleans with the all-star cast.

She tweeted: “Comedy is brutal #endoftheworld. New Orleans is the best!! : ) See you all soon. Em x”.

Meanwhile her mate Rihanna clearly had a blast with another of their co-stars, writing: "Just leaving set! Kevin Hart clearly has childhood issues! Lolololol ! This has to be one of my favorite moments in life #endoftheworld"
