Summer Lovin' 2011

Hello Summer 2011. Okay so it’s not officially summer until June 21, 2011 but for me its summer vacation, school’s out for the summer. I love summer. Everything seems sweeter and brighter in the summer time. Many things remind me of summerpopsicles, fireworks, summer love, sleepless nights, sleeping under the stars, staying out late, running through sprinklers, unforgettable memories, vacations, beaches, swimming, lemonade, and fun in the sun. I hope everyone has an extraordinary summer and makes summer 2011 a summer to remember.

“Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They’re shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpses of eternity, and in a flash they’re gone.”
-The Notebook

“Belly tops, flip flops
Lemonade, in the shade
Blue skies, hot guys,
Late nights water fights
Ice creams, sweet dreams,
Bathing suits, shooting hoops,
Party time, schools out,
Sleeping in, sneaking out
Summer’s coming

“Summer ’11 let’s make it last forever.”
“But thy eternal summer shall not fade.”
-William Shakespeare

“A life without love is a year without summer.”
-Swedish Proverb

“It’s funny how one summer can change everything. It must be something about the heat and the smell of chlorine, fresh cut grass and honeysuckle, asphalt sizzling after late-day thunderstorms, the steam rising while everything drips around it. Something about long, lazy days and whirring air conditioners and bright plastic flip flops from the drugstore thwacking down the street. Something about fall being so close, another year, another Christmas, another beginning. So much in one summer, stirring up like the storms that crest at the end of each day, blowing out all the heat and dirt to leave everything gasping and cool. Everyone can reach back to one summer and lay a finger to it, finding that exact point when everything changed.”
-Sarah Dessen, That Summer

“But summer had a way of making her smile and feel happier. It was sort of amazing how for those months of summer she always believed in herself and all that she could be.”

“Yep there were golden moments-in a golden summer when everyday was perfect and you knew it could go on forever.”
-The Wonder Years

“Just a boy in a Chevy truck
That had a tendency of getting stuck
On back roads at night
And I was right there beside him
All summer long and then the
Time we woke up to find that summer gone.”
-Taylor Swift

“He’s everything in summer dreams that fills your head with smiles.”

“Summer is filled with breaking the rules and standing apart, ignoring your head and following your heart..”

“I wanted to remember us like we were that summer. I didn’t want to ever forget that.”
-Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

“Only the summer is over, not us. We’ll never be over.”
-Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook
