Dancing with the Stars Results: A Shocking Elimination!

What. A. Shocker.

Coming off an evening in which two couples earned perfect 30s on Dancing with the Stars, the ABC competition went ahead and eliminated one of those tandems last night.

Wait... what?!?

The results show kicked off with the three lowest-scoring duos from Monday - Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, and Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy - all being deemed safe.

It then came down to Apolo Ohno and Sabrina Bryan as the pair of celebrities on the chopping block, despite their dazzling routines only 24 hours earlier.

And, in the end, Bryan got the boot.

Said the singer upon learning the news: “I’m grateful for this experience and Dancing With the Stars has been honestly an absolute dream. Thank you guys so much… I did my absolute best.”

Taylor Swift's 'Red' Sells 1.21 Million in Biggest Sales Week for an Album Since 2002

The album's tally falls just shy of "The Eminem Show," which moved 1.322 million a decade ago. It's only the 18th release to sell a million units in a single week since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991.

It's official: Taylor Swift's Red sold a whopping 1.208 million copies last week in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's more than any album has sold in a single week since 2002, when Eminem's The Eminem Show sold 1.322 million in its first full week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Red also easily debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, scoring Swift her third chart-topper.
Red is only the 18th album to sell a million units in a single week since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. Its start ranks as the eighth-biggest sales week in that span of time. The SoundScan-era record week is held by NSync's No Strings Attached, when it debuted at No. 1 with 2.416 million in 2000.
Swift's sizzling start is also the second-largest sales frame for a female artist. Only Britney Spears had a bigger week, when Oops! . . . I Did It Again sold 1.319 million in its debut in 2000.

As we projected last week, the blockbuster set marks the first album to move a million copies in a week since May of 2011, when Lady Gaga's Born This Way blasted in with 1.108 million in its No. 1 debut. However, Red's number is a bit bigger than the 1.100 million that had been forecasted by industry sources.
Red also makes Swift the only woman to have two million-selling weeks since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. The country/pop star earlier earned a million week when her last studio release, 2010's Speak Now, launched with 1.047 million.
Swift and her Red set were inescapable last week, following the album's off-cycle release on Monday, Oct. 22. (Most albums bow on Tuesday each week.) The singer appeared on ABC's Good Morning America (Oct. 22 and 23), CBS' The Late Show With David Letterman (23), ABC's The View (24), The Ellen DeGeneres Show (25), ABC's Katie and 20/20 (26). Her album was available in locations such as Starbucks, Walgreens (where she had her own dedicated mini-store in each outlet) and Papa John's Pizza.
Further, Target scored the only deluxe version of "Red" with additional audio content (three bonus songs and three remixes), while the iTunes Store was the exclusive digital retailer of the title last week.

Label sources indicate that iTunes sold nearly 465,000 copies of the album -- a record sales week for an iTunes album. Target rang up around 396,000 on its own -- again, a record for the retailer. Swift's unique deal with Papa John's yielded a meaty 8,000 copies of "Red." While that number looks small compared to Target and iTunes, to put it in perspective, it's almost half of the total "Red" CDs sold via Amazon.com. Papa John's sold the CD for $13 and also as part of large one-topping pizza combo for $22. (Large single-topping pizzas on their own sell for $12.) Swift's face was also plastered across the top of Papa John's pizza boxes, so even if customers didn't buy the album, they were certainly aware of it existing.
Impressively, Red was able to secure a million-selling week without any deep-discount sale pricing: The lowest that the album was advertised for among all major retailers last week was $9.99. That was the price point for the standard edition of the album at Target and Best Buy, while iTunes offered it for $14.99. Kmart and Walmart sold it for $12.99 and $13.99, respectively. Target touted its exclusive deluxe version for $14.99.
Red's lack of low pricing stands in contrast to the last album that did a million in a week: Lady Gaga's Born This Way. That set's 1.108 million first week was fueled partly by Amazon MP3 opting to sell the album for 99 cents on two separate days during its release week. (Red, however, was only available as a digital album via iTunes, leaving Amazon MP3 -- and any possible discounting -- out of the picture.)

'X Factor': Simon Cowell Going to 'Push' Britney Spears to Perform on Finale

If the reality series’ boss has his way, the iconic pop star may be hitting the stage this season.

Simon Cowell intends to do just that, revealing Tuesday that he hopes to convince X Factor judge Britney Spears to perform on the show’s season two finale.

In a tweet from The X Factor USA’s official account referencing Spears performing on a future show, Cowell said, “I’m gonna push for her to do something on the final. I think she’ll probably do it.”
The X Factor boss has been vocal about wanting Spears to duet with fellow judge Demi Lovato, though neither have confirmed whether a collaboration is in the works. And if Spears performs on the X Factor stage, will Lovato be offered the same option?
Another duet Cowell endorsed on Twitter Tuesday is between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney. “They could both come,” Cowell said. “Music is a healer. Sing together & work out their differences.”
Somehow we think the only time those two will grace The X Factor with their presence is in the spoof video released last week by Fox.
The X Factor returns to the airwaves on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with the first live show of the season.

Ke$ha Dances with Giant Penises at 'Warrior' Warm-Up Concert

At a private show sponsored by Casio Watches, the pop singer proves she's queen of her empire, even if it's one she’s only created for outrageous onstage effect.

If pop music demands an element of theatrical presentation, then Ke$ha angled toward a literal interpretation of her raucous, sexualized pop songs in her first U.S. live show supporting upcoming album Warrior. The singer performed Monday night at a special Casio event at the El Rey Theatre to celebrate the launch of her Baby G watch line, which she announced at a press conference earlier in the evening, and toed the boundary between glitzy pop spectacular and dramatic Broadway pageantry.

The performance, which was heralded by a questionable DJ set from Herick Hell (Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “The Other Side” does not need a remix), consisted of seven tracks from Ke$ha’s prior releases and a closing rendition of her new single, “Die Young,” the first track to impact off Warrior. Despite the comparably small size of the venue, Ke$ha presented a stadium-ready show, her first employing the futuristic tribal queen aesthetic of her new album, out Dec. 4 via RCA. These visuals were immediately apparent as the singer, clad in a rhinestone leotard and giant golden crown, was carried in by four muscled dancers dressed like exotic serving boys as green lasers shot around the room. After the dancers (two of whom are twins) set Ke$ha onstage and she launched into “We R Who We R,” the single off 2010’s EP Cannibal, the theme of the evening was clear: Ke$ha is queen of whatever situation the music dictates.

This extended into the musical-like interpretations of her songs, particularly “Cannibal,” during which Ke$ha pretended to rip a giant heart out of one of her dancers and dripped blood all over mouth and neck. “I have some dating advice,” the singer said as the song opened. “Don't fuck with crazy bitches because we’ll eat you.” This sort of amazingly garish outrageousness pervaded as Ke$ha threw a literal onstage party during “Party At A Rich Dude’s House” (complete with beer coolers) and danced with two giant human penises during “Your Love Is My Drug.” It was unabashed, unapologetic and truly compelling, much like the singer herself.

With the exception of the visuals, Warrior was largely ignored throughout the evening. The singer has only released one track from the disc so far and a sponsored event that lacked a sold-out crowd was presumably not the right moment to unveil any additional numbers. Ke$ha pretended to close the show with “Tik Tok,” the super-single off her 2010 debut Animal, shouting to the crowd as gold glitter coated the room, “I fucking love you guys. Now go get laid.” But she was back moments later, noting, “You guys didn't really think I was gonna leave without playing my brand new single did you?”

The song, “Die Young,” received a celebratory flamboyant stage treatment as Ke$ha, now in a gold outfit likely designed by an Olympic figure skater, strutted around stage with her dancers before leading a drum line. The drums, primal and urgent, mirrored the track’s lyrics (“I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums”) and rhythmic buoyancy. From choreographed dance moves to the rippling pectorals of her dancers, Ke$ha’s performance was a sexually-charged romp, a raucous party charged with intent – all led by the queen who has created it. And even in a small room with an uneven crowd the singer managed to build this literal interpretation of “Tik Tok”’s most telling line: “Now the party don't start ‘til I walk in.

Hurricane Sandy: Hundreds of East Coast Movie Theaters Still Closed

UPDATED: Box office revenues could be down by as much as 25 percent, representing millions of dollars in losses; all AMC Theaters in Manhattan and Long Island will remain closed through Tuesday.

Roughly 300 movie theaters stretching from the nation's capitol to Boston remained dark on Tuesday in the wake of superstorm Sandy.

There's no word yet on when they'll reopen; the hardest hit areas are New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, and it could be days before all theaters there reopen.
As of Tuesday morning, AMC Entertainment said that 79 of its theaters were closed. The circuit operates a total of 483 locations in North America.
AMC announced midday that all theaters in Manhattan and Long Island would remain dark through Tuesday, while Boston and Connecticut theaters will reopen by early evening.
In terms of loss, domestic box office revenues could take a 25 percent hit because of the closures. Revenues came in at roughly $6 million Monday, versus $10 million a year ago (though some of that 39 percent decline was due to an overall soft market).

Theaters in Washington, D.C., and Boston could be back online later on Tuesday or Wednesday, helping to mitigate the damage.
New York City and Los Angeles are the busiest moviegoing markets in the country, with each contributing 10-12 percent of overall grosses.
As long as New York City theaters and suburban New Jersey remain closed -- not to mention multiplexes in low-lying coastal areas -- grosses will continue to suffer.

Carly Rae Jepsen, Owl City's Adam Young Sued for Allegedly Stealing 'Good Time' (Courtesy THR)

The hit song was allegedly taken from an Alabama songwriter whose own tune was featured on MTV shows.

Mega-selling singers Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City's Adam Young as well as several publishing companies and performing rights groups are being sued in a new copyright infringement lawsuit filed in California federal court.

The claims come from Allyson Nichole Burnett, an Alabama-based singer and songwriter who authored the 2010 song, "Ah, It's a Love Song."
In Burnett's lawsuit, she says that Young, Matt Thiessen and Brian Lee have copied a prominent motif of her song to create the pop hit "Good Time," released by Owl City and Jepsen in June. The disputed song reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also played repeatedly during NBC's broadcast of the 2012 Summer Olympics, according to reports, in shows like 90210, Parks and Recreation and The Office, and in trailer ads for the film Hotel Transylvania.
Jepsen is best known for her chart-topping summer smash "Call Me Maybe," while Owl City's "Fireflies" hit the No. 1 spot in late 2009.
Song theft lawsuits are on the rise, but this one, authored by THR power lawyer Neville Johnson, is filled with details about musicology and contains other idiosyncrasies.
According to the complaint, the hook in Burnett's song is a "unique vocal motif" that is repeated throughout the song and "has a catchy pop vibe that both draws people in and sticks in people's heads."

The song, on Burnett's album The Takeover, has been on sale in record stores and on digital outlets since 2010 and the lawsuit says it has also been licensed to MTV for the shows The Hills and Friendzone.
According to the complaint, "Defendants' extensive access to 'Love Song' is sufficient to trigger the 'inverse ration rule,' whereby a reduced standard of proof of substantial similarity is required when a high degree of access is shown. However, the substantial similarity between the Original Motif and the Copied Motif... is striking under any standard of proof."
The lawsuit then gets granular with respect to the alleged similarities of the two songs.
Burnett's song is in the key of F while "Good Time" is in the key of E flat, but other shared features are noted, including an identical pitch sequence (5-3-5-3-2), melodic contour (down, up, down, down), rhythmic construction (8th rest, 8th note, 8th note, 8th note, 8th note, 8th rest, quarter note), timbre (textless vocals) and so forth.
Here's a copy of the complaint. The two songs can be heard below.
Burnett, who sometimes performs as Ally "Cupcake" Burnett, is alleging copyright infringement and playing up the alleged damage suffered. She says in her complaint that "many consumers may incorrectly assume that Burnett copied her own Original Motif from the Infringing Songwriters due to the widespread popularity and publication of 'Good Time.' Burnett's reputation as an independent artist will be significantly damaged by such incorrect assumptions."

Further, Burnett says she has "suffered emotional and psychological damage" from fans asking why she copied the Jepsen-Owl City hit, although there isn't any specific cause of action pinned to her distress.
Besides the musicians named above, Universal Music Group, Songs Music Publishing and Schoolboy Records are named as defendants.
Somewhat unusually, the lawsuit also drags ASCAP and SESAC, two entitities that collect performance royalties, into the dispute.
"Plaintiff is entitled to a constructive trust over all profits and royalties collected and held by the Royalty Distributors," says the lawsuit. "Alternatively, the Royalty Distributors should be required to interplead all profits and royalties collected and held by them into the registry of this Court.

Cee Lo Green Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Cee Lo Green has been accused of sexual battery.

Details on the case are sketchy - neither the identity of the victim, nor the story behind the allegation are known, although TMZ confirms police has spoken to employees at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant - but The Voice judge has already proclaimed his innocence.

"Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else," Green says, adding that he hasn't been to the establishment in question in three months.

No charges have actually been filed yet and another Cee Lo insider simply cannot fathom they will be, telling the site:

"I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody."

Green Day Reveals Dreamy 'Breaking Dawn' Ballad 'The Forgotten'

The punk rockers get sentimental in their soundtrack offering, which debuted Tuesday on MTV.

The first anthem for Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has officially arrived.

Green Day debuted the video for “The Forgotten,” the lead single off the film’s forthcoming soundtrack, Tuesday on MTV.  In the clip, footage of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool is intertwined with footage from the film, giving fans their first look inside Bella’s new vampire world.
The film centers on Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) new life as a vampire with her husband, Edward (Robert Pattinson), and their daughter, Renesmee (McKenzie Foy). But the bliss of her new family is put in jeopardy when the Volturi -- the leaders of the vampire world -- set their sights on Renesmee, believing that the Cullens have broken the cardinal rule of vampires: You don’t transform a child.

Green Day’s soft, dreamy ballad touches on the nightmarish battle the Cullens now face -- yet the video shows no evidence of the war they are waging. Instead, all visuals from the film focus on Bella's fascinating new perspective and the love she shared with her new family (plus an appearance from good ol' dad, played by Billy Burke).
“Don’t look away/ From the arms of a bad dream/ Don’t look away/ Sometimes you’re better lost than to be seen,” Armstrong croons in the chorus.
“Where in the world’s the forgotten/ Like soldiers from a long lost war,” he continues. “We share the scars from our abandon/ And what we remember becomes folklore.”

News of Green Day’s contribution to the soundtrack came as a surprise earlier this month. While the Twilight soundtracks have always included a variety of artists and genres, there’s something about the punk rockers that just doesn’t seem to fit with the Twihards. Something reminiscent of Matthew McConaughey's infamous Dazed and Confused line: "That's what I like about these high school girls; I get older, they stay the same age."
It’s nothing short of absurd to see a trio of 40-year-old rock stars (perfoming in front of a packed stadium) juxtaposed with images of the beautiful young stars of the franchise. Though, to be fair, with Armstrong currently in rehab the band may not have been available to fully participate in the video's concept and rollout.
Among the more fitting contributions to the album is a follow-up from Christina Perri, whose “A Thousand Years” became the breakout hit from Breaking Dawn – Part 1’s soundtrack, Ellie Goulding, and star of the film Nikki Reed, whose duet with real-life husband Paul McDonald will be featured.
"When we were asked to be part of the Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon," said Green Day bassist Dirnt in a release. "We have always been impressed with the way the Twilight soundtracks are carefully curated."

Hurricane Sandy: Entertainment Industry Examines Devastating Fallout

Broadway remains closed, and officials say it will be at least a few days before power and transportation services are restored.

Millions of people in the Northeastern U.S., including people working in the media and entertainment industries, awoke on Tuesday morning to a grey sky and a drizzle. After one of the most devastating storms to hit the region in quite some time, authorities were still responding to emergencies emanating from Hurricane Sandy, surveying damage, and carefully preparing to restore service to all those still without power, cable TV and other essential services of modern life.
Schools, courts and Broadway shows have been cancelled on Tuesday. The New York Stock Exchange remains closed for the second day as well, marking the first time in more than 120 years that this has happened. The business community got a small scare when several media outlets reported that the floor of the NYSE had flooded, but the reports turned out to be inaccurate.
A number of telcos including AT&T, Comcast, Verizon and Time Warner Cable said they were attempting to switch damaged systems to backup generators. AT&T said it would be adding capacity to its wireless network. Some web sites, including Gawker and Huffington Post, were knocked out as the storm flooded data servers in the region. The reach of the damage is extensive. YouTube users around the world are reporting unreliable service.
"We are continuing to battle flooding and fiber outages in downtown New York and Connecticut," said a notice on the web site of Datagram, which offers server-hosting services to many big media companies.
Many of the cable companies wouldn't give exact timetables on full recovery, but are pledging to do what they can.
According to a statement put out by Cablevision, “As a result of Hurricane Sandy, Cablevision is experiencing widespread service interruptions, primarily related to the loss of power. Where conditions allow, Cablevision crews are in the field and are working around-the-clock to restore Optimum TV, phone and Internet service, in close coordination with local utilities. We will provide updates for our customers at Optimum.net.”
Many entertainment and media companies are also proceeding with caution, keeping employees home and attempting to scale back operations in the face of power, transportation and data disruptions.
A Sony Corp. representative said the company's New York offices were closed Monday and remain closed Tuesday. She said there was no word yet on Wednesday, which will depend on such factors as mass transportation.
A Time Warner spokesman said the conglomerate's headquarters at midtown Manhattan's Columbus Circle also remains closed Tuesday "with staff working from home."
NBCUniversal's New York offices also remain closed "for all but essential employees -- news and people who keep us on air," a spokesman said. All tri-state area TV and film productions remain halted on Tuesday.
Asked about the NBCUniversal headquarters at midtown Manhattan's 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the spokesman said the building was "basically okay" although there were reports of a few shattered windows.
A Viacom spokesperson said that only "network essential personnel is working," with offices closed on Tuesday and no plans yet for Wednesday. The company's headquarters at 1515 Broadway are fine, but employees at the company are reporting no phone service.
More than 7 million people in 13 states are still without power, from the DC/Baltimore area up to New Hampshire. The most pressing barrier to normality is the return of electricity, and officials say it could take up to a week to repair damages. In New York City and the immediate suburbs, some 650,000 people lost power, according to Con Edison, which is more than three times the number of people affected by Hurricane Irene.
"This is the largest storm-related outage in our history," said ConEd senior vice president for electric operations John Miksad.
To restore power, ConEd said it would have to navigate infrastructure hit hard by the storm. Wires are down all throughout New York City, hundreds of roads remain closed to all but emergency response vehicles, and getting power online means cleaning underground equipment of sea water and dealing with such matters as the explosion that took out a power station on 14th street.
"If you're power is out, it will likely be out for the next few days, " said Con Ed spokesperson Alfonso Quiroz.
Transportation in the area also remains in terrible shape. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has opened bridges to emergency personnel only, meaning that even if commuters wanted to rush to work, there's no pathways to make that happen.
As for the subways, they are down too, as the Metropolitan Transit Authority attempts to dry tunnels of floodwater. On Tuesday morning, MTA officials were gathering to discuss when to restore bus service.
"We are assessing the extent of the damage and beginning the process of recovery," said MTA executive director Joseph Lhota. "In 108 years our employees have never faced a challenge like the one that confronts us now."

Robert Pattinson Named New Face of Dior

Might a mural of Robert Pattinson shirtless be coming to a freeway near you?

The Twilight Saga star has been named the new face of Christian Dior, agreeing to a $12 million/three-year deal with the French fashion house's line of fragrances and causing pandemonium among Twihards.

They look at Natalie Portman nude ads for the same company and hope against hope: is Pattinson next to bare all?!?

The actor will, indeed, appear in a series of ads for Dior, though it's unclear at the moment if his clothes will remain on or off.

Simply put, "Rob likes the brand," a source tells E! News.

Hey, for $4 million/year, we'd like it, too!

Kim Kardashian Laughs Off Engagement Rumors

For the record: Kim Kardashian is not engaged to Kanye West.

But she is more than happy to talk about chatter that she's engaged to Kanye West, which Kim herself encouraged last week when she donned a large diamond ring and which Ryan Seacrest perpetuated when he said on his radio show that an announcement was imminent.

"I don't know where Ryan came up with that," Kardashian told E! News. "Ryan, I'm so mad at you, where did you come up with that? You're starting rumors."

No, he's bumping up ratings for the show he produces, Kim.

Kim turned 32 on October 21 and spent the occasion with West in Italy. But the rapper didn't pop the mega question during that trip?

"It's just a rumor," she said. "But I had an amazing birthday, very intimate and very special."

Kris Jenner has also shot down engagement talk, but has said that Kanye is already part of the Kardashian family. Ouch. Sorry, man.

Star Wars Episode 7: Coming in 2015!!!

The Walt Disney Company has purchased Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4 billion, according to reports, and included in the press release announcing that mega sale is this passage:

Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga and grow the franchise well into the future.

Says direcctor George Lucas:

"For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next.

"It's now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I've always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime. I'm confident that with Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy, and having a new home within the Disney organization, Star Wars will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come."

Kris Jenner: On the Hunt for Anonymous Abuse Mole

Kris Jenner is on the prowl.

For the next Kim Kardashian sex tape location? Possibly.

But matriarch is even more focused right now on the anonymous individual who phoned the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services last week and claimed Kendall and Kylie Jenner were the subject of abuse.

Social workers and police officers responded with a visit to the Kardashian home, but quickly dismissed the tip as the work of a prankster.

But Jenner isn't laughing.

She believes the culprit is a celebrity gossip reporter trying to concoct a story.

The allegations are simply "ridiculous," a rep for the Kardashians tells TMZ, adding:

"It's such a shame that anyone can make up such hurtful and hideous untruths especially when children are involved.

"We are taking this matter very seriously and investigating to find out who is responsible for fabricating such a terrible story and will take the necessary legal action so that this does not happen again."

Linda Hogan on Hulk Hogan Sex Tape: What an Embarrassment!

Linda Hogan appeared yesterday on Access Hollywood Live to promote her book "Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes," only for the conversation to quickly turn to the Hulk Hogan sex tape.

"It really is quite an embarrassment for our family," Linda said of the video, which depicts Hogan giving it to Heather Clem in 2006. "I'm not really shocked because I knew that he was having affairs and I knew that he was cheating."

Hogan has admitted to stepping out on his wife, but has insisted he had no knowledge he and Clem were being filmed, nor did he play a role in releasing the tape.

He also sort of blamed Linda for the affair because he said she abused him physically and emotionally during their marriage.

Linda, meanwhile, told host Billy Bush that she has viewed the footage.

"It actually did make me upset," she said. "I've seen him on TV so much, but this was different. To see your husband in a room with another woman ... It's a whole life of deception. I'm glad to be away from that now."

Fire in Wake of Hurricane Sandy Hits Queens Area Featured in Song, Film, TV

A Ramones song references the area of New York City, which also served as a location for Woody Allen’s "Radio Days" and TV show "Rescue Me."

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, a major fire late Monday hit parts of Rockaway, Queens, a part of New York City that has been mentioned and featured in popular music, films and TV shows.

NBC News reported early Tuesday that more than 200 firefighters have been battling the fire throughout the night with at least 50 homes destroyed.
Officials did not confirm further details or detail what caused the fire.

The area is referenced in the Ramones song "Rockaway Beach." It also served as a location for Woody Allen’s Radio Days and Denis Leary series Rescue Me, according to Wikipedia. The Rockaway Peninsula is also a popular summer resort for New Yorkers.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, President Barack Obama signed a disaster declaration for New York and Long Island in the wake of the hurricane's destruction. It will make available federal aid to assist with recovery efforts.

Octomom Checks Into Rehab

Nadya Suleman has checked herself into a rehab facility due to a prescription drug problem, sources confirm to TMZ.

A rep for Suleman says she is now a patient at Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Southern California because she had grown dependent on the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.

"Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors," says her rep. "Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be.”

The deranged woman's 14 (!!!!!!) children will remain under the care of three nannies and two friends during the 30-day rehab stint for their mother.

Sources also say that Suleman could have afforded to pay for the facility herself - due to her porn career - but the center is picking up the tab anyway.

Apparently it truly, literally does pay to be famous.

Even if you're famous for having an obscene number of children on your own... undergoing foreclosure... and then depending on boxing, stripper gigs and masturbation videos to pay the bills.

Ziering married Erin Ludwig in May 2010. She is in her second trimester and the child is due in May.

Hurricane Sandy Really No Big Deal, Lindsay Lohan Tweets

Lindsay Lohan knows a thing or two about total and complete disasters. At least in her personal life.

So with Hurricane Sandy and its 85 mile-per-hour winds approaching the East Coast today, this trainwreck has a message for all those being evacuated and told to remain insider:

Calm down!

WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace, Lohan Tweeted in regard to the mammoth storm.

Seriously, people. Think positive and pray and you'll be fine just walking right through those record-breaking gusts and floods.

Among other, far more reasonable reactions on Twitter today from famous folks:

Alec Baldwin: Sandy . . .that b****!

Bethenny Frankel: I'm nervous. People say sandy is worse than Irene. We're on the water in the hamptons & near it in the city. Both will be evacuated

Jerry Seinfeld: Mayor Bloomberg going with zip up neck sweater to fight Sandy. Shows preparedness. Windy: zip it up Storm over: back down

Jimmy Fallon: East coasters stay safe – watch the news and look for updates. #Sandy We will be doing a new show tomorrow night no matter what. #LateNight

Jimmy Kimmel: starting to get windy here in #Brooklyn. . . I hope our shows don't fly away

Kirstie Alley: hello Maine . . . Is the storm hitting around Camden Maine?? thank you

Larry King: Is #Sandy a boy or a girl?

Lena Dunham: My dad re: the hurricane: "I have tons of cash and a salad"

Tom Cruise prowler arrested, tased, then revealed to be drunk neighbor

A man who was prowling around Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills mansion was subdued with a stun gun by a private security guard and arrested by police on Sunday night.

Neither Cruise nor his family were at the house on Calle Vista Drive when the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to police.
"Upon arrival, officers contacted a lone male suspect who was attempting to leave the location. The suspect had been previously detained by a security officer, who was on duty at the residence and had observed the suspect climbing a fence to gain access to the property," the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement [via the L.A. Times].

It turns out the said prowler was actually Cruise's neighbor, 41-year-old Jason Sullivan. (Pictures of him being arrested can be seen here on TMZ.) Sullivan was intoxicated and mistakenly stumbled over onto the actor's property, police say. After he was arrested, Sullivan was taken to a hospital and examined after being tased.
It may seem like an extreme reaction, but Cruise has had problems with stalkers in the past: He had to get a restraining order in 2008 against a man who showed up uninvited, multiple times at his Beverly Hills estate.

'X Factor': Simon Cowell Recalls Giving Britney Spears a Pep Talk After Audience Boos (Video)

During an appearance on "The Tonight Show," the series newcomer says she “cringes” when the crowd responds to her with a negative reaction.

While East Coast competitors David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon performed monologues to empty studios in the midst of Hurricane Sandy, it was business as usual for Jay Leno as he filmed The Tonight Show in Los Angeles.

'X Factor': Live Episodes Kick Off on Halloween Night
On Monday’s show, X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Britney Spears appear in promotion of the series’ first live broadcasts beginning Halloween night.
During the interview, Cowell revealed that Spears struggled with hearing the crowd boo her during auditions. So much so, that she may have considered exiting the show.

“There was this look to me like, ‘What have I signed up for here?’” Cowell recalls. “After two hours, we had a conversation and it was like, ‘I’m not sure I should be doing this. They all hate me. They’re booing me.’ And I said, ‘You’re doing a brilliant job. Get used to it.’”
With more than a decade in the industry, Spears admits that she’s not used to being criticized by an audience. The experience was not a welcome one.

“You just like, cringe,” she says. “You’re just like, ‘oh my god!’”
Asked whether she feels badly about crushing the dreams of the young, less talented hopefuls, Spears replies: “It is really hard, but if they’re supposed to be a doctor, you want them to – and they’re wasting seven years of their life doing that – I would want to know.”
The X Factor returns to Fox on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with 12 finalists. The broadcast marks the first live show of the series’ second season, featuring newly announced hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez.

'The Voice' Recap: Knockout Rounds Begin

Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green cut down their teams from 10 members each to the five that will move on to the live rounds.

As Hurricane Sandy shook the East Coast, the Knockout Rounds shook up the teams on NBC's The Voice on Monday night.

In the brand new addition to the show, the coaches -- Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green -- pit two of their team members against each other. The artists sing songs that they chose themselves, while their opponent watches on from the corner. In an added twist, the contestants won't know who they'll go up against until they're standing onstage.
The coaches must choose to send one of each pair home, cutting the teams from 10 members each to 5 members for the live shows.
Team Adam and Team Cee Lo were up first on Monday night.
Team Adam's Joselyn Rivera vs. Kayla Nevarez
These two pop divas face off, with Joselyn singing "Love on Top," and Kayla taking on "Shark in the Water." Joselyn, who Levine "stole" from Aguilera's team during the Battle Rounds, sounds good, but has a couple pitch problems. Kayla has a really cool unique sound. But Levine decides to keep Joselyn because her song was more ambitious.

Team Adam's Joe Kirkland vs. Bryan Keith
"May the best man win," says Levine of his two pop-rock singers. Joe is singing, surprisingly, Taylor Swift's "Mean," while Bryan will sing "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You." Joe's take on Taylor Swift doesn't quite work -- it comes off a little awkward. Bryan's song choice is so different that it's strange to have these songs back-to-back, but he sings it decently enough (despite some tempo issues). Even though Levine says Bryan wasn't as good as he could have been, he decides to keep Bryan because of his ability to connect with the audience.
Team Adam's Amanda Brown vs. Michelle Brooks-Thompson
Amanda is singing "Paris (Ooh La La)" and Michelle will sing "Spotlight." Amanda has a really special spark when she performs onstage. And while Michelle rocks it like a diva onstage, it seems like Amanda has that special uniqueness that could get her to the finals (can you believe that only Green turned his chair for her in the blind auditions?!). Levine chooses to keep Amanda.

Team Adam's Loren Allred vs. Nicole Nelson
Wedding singer Loren chooses "You Know I'm No Good" and Nicole is singing "If I Ain't Got You." Loren tried to drop her good-girl vibe for her performance, but we're just not buying it. Nicole, a pro, makes this song look easy, and we love it. However, Levine picks Loren, saying she had "the element of surprise." Maybe it was Nicole's strange hand motions that got her booted -- because there's no way it could have been her voice.
Team Adam's Melanie Martinez vs. Sam James
Melanie -- definitely in the running for "most unique" -- is singing "Bulletproof." "I don't just sing songs, I actually feel them," she says. Sam is singing "Walking in Memphis" because it reminds him of his youth. Melanie's performance is good (if you ignore the annoying bow on her head). She looks comfortable onstage and is lucky to have that unique sound to her voice. Sam has phrasing problems, but is a strong singer. Levine chooses to keep Melanie.
Team Cee Lo's Avery Wilson vs. Cody Belew
Avery is singing "Yeah 3x" and Cody is singing "Jolene." Avery, who is also a dancer, shows off some moves on the floor, but his singing seems to suffer for it. Cody's version of this song is a bit strange, but his voice is strong. Green decides to go with Cody. Avery gives an extremely sweet farewell speech, and Green promises to keep in touch with him.
Team Cee Lo's Mackenzie Bourg vs. Daniel Rosa
Mackenzie is doing a really unique version of "Call Me Maybe," while Daniel is singing "Back to December" (another guy singing a Swift song?!). Mackenzie rocks it, and we love it. He's got such great energy onstage. Daniel is an emotional singer, which is great, but his timing is off. Green decides to send Daniel home, so it looks like second time was not the charm.
On a sidenote, how great is that banter between Green and Levine? "I'll call you from a payphone," says Green to Levine. Hilarious.

Team Cee Lo's Terisa Griffin vs. Trevin Hunte
"My two powerhouses," explains Green. Terisa is taking on Whitney Houston's "Saving All My Love for You," and we all know that doing a Whitney song is always a risk because there aren't many people who can come even close to her abilities. Trevin sings "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" as a dedication to his mean eighth grade teacher who told him he'd never become anything. These are two of the best performances of the night, and it's a shame that one of these talents has to be sent home. Green keeps Trevin, and Terisa gives a gracious speech about mentoring Trevin. She's really amazing.
Team Cee Lo's Mycle Wastman vs. Nicholas David
Nicholas croons "Put Your Records On" while Mycle sings "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Neither of these guys is amazing (especially following the previous pair) but Nicholas has a really special sound to his voice and a cool attitude onstage. Green decides to keep Nicholas (maybe because they both like to wear sunglasses indoors).
Team Cee Lo's Caitlin Michele vs. Diego Val
Caitlin is singing "Bring Me to Life" and Diego is taking on "Are You Gonna Go My Way." The weakest performances of the night wrap up the show. Caitlin seems to just imitate other singers, and Diego just sounds a bit weak with his rocker talk-singing. Green decides to keep Diego. This means Green will be taking an all-male team to the live shows.

'Breaking In's' Erin Richards to Play Top WME Agent's Wife in Fox Pilot Presentation (Exclusive)
Wilfred's Chris Klein has been tapped to play a character based on the top WME talent agent  in Fox's untitled Mark Wahlberg-Steve
Based on Nikki Joel's tell-all blog LifestyleLemonaid.com about her outrageous marriage to Joel, Klein will play Brad opposite Breaking In's Erin Richards' Jackie.

The project, which landed at Fox with a pilot-presentation order in September after two years at HBO, centers on a thirtysomething mother, wife and friend. In the Fox adaptation, Brad is a 36-year-old who is described as feeling and acting like America's last real man. He's an ex-Navy man who still sports the crew cut and now works as a construction foreman. He's playful, can't hold his booze and adores his wife Jackie, even if she can be a handful.
Desperate Housewives' Jordon Nardino will pen the script and executive produce alongside Wahlberg, Levinson, Nikki Joel and Wayne Carmona, with production due to begin in mid-November for a Los Angeles shoot.
HBO will handle production on the comedy.
The casting comes after Klein has been recurring on FX comedy Wilfred, which is awaiting word on its third season (a renewal is expected) and mere weeks after he guest starred on Fox's Raising Hope.
Klein, whose credits also include the American Pie franchise, is repped by ICM Partners, Brillstein and Sloane Offer.

SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden: Film Review

The movie beats Kathryn Bigelow’s "Zero Dark Thirty" by airing -- controversially -- on Nat Geo two days before the election, but Republicans really shouldn't worry, writes Tim Goodman.

The National Geographic Channel may have won the race to be the first to portray the events that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden – beating Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty to the big screen by rushing to the small screen on Nov. 4 – but it’s still too soon to say if being the first is the same as being the best.

Nat Geo will air SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden on Sunday at 8 p.m. (and has opened in theaters internationally). The film comes from The Weinstein Company and is directed by John Stockwell (Into the Blue, Turistas, Crazy/Beautiful) and produced by Nicolas Chartier, who was a producer on The Hurt Locker, Bigelow’s Academy Award-winning film.

Both SEAL Team Six and Zero Dark Thirty have been pre-emptively called enablers for President Obama, since the killing of Bin Laden was a major coup for him. But SEAL Team Six will come under more scrutiny because it will air two days before the election and then be available the next day on Netflix.
Still, it’s hard to imagine this film (or even the unseen, save for trailers, Zero Dark Thirty), moving the needle on an election. Why? Because everyone in the world knows what happened and how it ended. The whole thing is in the history books. And with the publication of No Easy Day from SEAL member Mark Owen, it’s not like the world lacks for details if they really want to seek them out.
And yet if any Republicans are worried this sneaky little move by Nat Geo and TWC be a knockout blow or even a jab in this upcoming election, they should rest easy. That’s because the film really isn’t that good.

All the compelling parts are precisely as you’d imagine them to be – the intelligence reports that unearthed Bin Laden’s whereabouts in Pakistan, the risk of every attack option, the stark reality that the intel might be wrong and the United States – and by extension Obama – would be embarrassed and finally the nerve-wracking mission itself.
It doesn’t take much of a genius or even a dramatist to understand that those are the core elements. In fact-based dramas, knowing the ending is a real hindrance because there’s no mystery or suspense. When the SEALs enter the compound you know they’re not going to be killed. You know they’re going to get Bin Laden, they’re going to get away, and the near screw-up with one of the two helicopters going down in the compound is not going to ruin everything.
So, where’s the drama? Technically you don’t need any more rama than all of the action listed above – you just need a director and a budget that’s going to make the whole thing pulse-pounding and bad-ass. Parts of SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden make that happen, but the 90-minute film misses the essential element that it needed (and Bigelow’s film will need): character development.

Stockwell’s film resorts to the now-boring conceit of having the participants talk to the camera. This exposition is not only a cheat, cutting corners by telling when it could be showing, but it never lets the audience feel anything for the characters. They are mostly cardboard cutouts.
SEAL Team Six stars Cam Gigandet as Stunner, the team leader; Anson Mount as Cherry, the more renegade SEAL who has trouble being led by the younger Stunner; rapper XZBIT (Alvin Joiner) playing Mule; Freddy Rodriguez as Trench; and Kenneth Miller as Sauce rounding out the team. Robert Knepper is billed as merely Lt. Commander.
The problem with that list is that Gigandet is allowed almost no time to show the audience he’s the team leader. Mount steals the better material and only in rare flashes do we learn anything about the others. In fact, there’s so little of Sauce in the film that he’s barely a seasoning. You can’t mine drama from characters you’re not manipulated into liking or loathing.

The person who gets the most mileage out of SEAL Team Six is Kathleen Robertson (Boss) as Vivian Hollins, the CIA analyst who has been hell bent on getting Bin Laden since the Sept. 11 attack on the Twin Towers. There are two problems here. First, all any fan of Homeland, the Showtime series that just swept the Emmys, will think is that Robertson is essentially Claire Danes playing Carrie, the CIA analyst hell bent on bringing down the fictional Abu Nazir after the Sept. 11 attacks. Robertson, who does great work on Boss, isn’t given anything remotely interesting for her character – like Carrie’s mental issues and her love of jazz – and instead gets the most clichéd, rote dialogue to read as she talks to the camera in those faux interviews.
Eddie Kay Thomas and William Fichtner are in this movie as well, but they are also ghosts who leave little memory for the viewer.
That’s not to say that some of the combat scenes in SEAL Team Six are not riveting, as is the aforementioned final days and minutes leading up to the raid on Bin Laden’s compound. But with almost no emotional interest in these undeveloped characters, the movie feels more like it was tossed together in an effort to be first on any screen – small or large.

SEAL Team Six is interspersed with photos and interviews of Obama and the players around him during that difficult decision process, and if you’re really into that sort of thing you could spot one or two moments that certainly looked like political ads. A photo of Obama mulling over something enormous certainly gives him gravitas and there’s more than a few shots with American flags after the news of Bin Laden’s death.
But this is a movie that feels like a documentary at times, a cheesy docudrama at others and some kind of slapped together film that wants to be taken seriously as well. Whatever you may think of how it was sewn together, SEAL Team Six isn’t particularly bad, it’s just not particularly good or interesting.
What is interesting is that in the Nat Geo press materials, Stockwell gets a page and a half for a “director’s statement,” then another page and a half for an essay called “Can a Movie Swing an Election?”

The latter isn’t particularly convincing and the former brings up interesting questions about the process that might have made for fantastic dramatic scenes. Unfortunately, they’re not in the movie. For example, here’s something Stockwell writes in his statement: “What if bin Laden had fled the compound when he heard the approaching choppers? Would we have pursued him through the streets of Abbottabad? What if the Pakistan military had shot down one of our helicopters; engaged in a firefight with our troops and took hostages; or used fighter jets? There were also suspicions that the house was rigged to explode or that the occupants had a cache of Stinger missiles and the enclosed rooftop patio was the perfect launching pad to take down the vulnerable hovering Blackhawks. What if large numbers of the women and children in the compound had been injured or killed? What if there had been Americancasualties? And the most potentially disastrous outcome – what if any of the above had happened, and the intended target of the raid wasn’t even there?”

Levi Johnston-Sunny Oglesby Wedding Photos: So Happy Together!

Levi Johnston and Sunny Oglesby tied the knot yesterday in Wasilla, Alaska.

Their daughter, baby Breeze Beretta, was on hand ... and in their hands:

As for his other child, four-year-old son Tripp, the little man could not make it.

Hilariously, Levi did not tell his ex, Bristol Palin, that he was tying the knot over the weekend, and instead simply asked for custody of his son Saturday and Sunday.

Palin denied his request.

It was up to Breeze Beretta, the one-month-old daughter of Levi, 22, and Sunny, 20, to take part in the ceremony, officiated by Johnston's friend Crosby Marrow.

The couple's wedding - the first for both - took a lighthearted turn when the groom made a mess of his vows and elicited laughs from family and friends in attendance.

"To have and to hold, whatever you say," Inside Edition reports Johnston as saying.

Classy.

Katy Perry Performs for Obama at Las Vegas Rally

The president told the crowd of 13,000 that he was pulling an all-nighter, adding that if he wasn't going to get any sleep, he "might as well be in Vegas."

After a multistate tour on Wednesday, President Barack Obama wrapped up his day with a late-evening campaign rally headlined by singer Katy Perry at a park in Las Vegas.

Perry, wearing a dress that looked like a giant ballot, warmed up the crowd as the president traveled from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the free gathering, which drew more about 13,000 people. The singer performed "Let's Stay Together," "Part of Me," "Teenage Dream," "Wide Awake" and "Firework."

Air Force one touched down a little after 9 p.m.
"The motorcade sped on a highway and arrived at Doolittle Park, a site in a largely African-American section of town," according to the pool report. "There, a large and enthusiastic crowd awaited him. An Obama 'Forward!' sign stood at the top of the stands behind the stage where Obama spoke. To the side giant white letters spelling 'Vote Early' stood atop the stands to the side of the stage."
Obama's Las Vegas speech mirrored the ones he delivered earlier in Davenport and Denver -- but with one major exception. Perry's 91-year-old grandmother was there and gave the president a kiss on the cheek, leaving a lipstick mark on his face. He joked that he had to wipe it off before First Lady Michelle Obama saw it.

"He told the crowd about being in the midst of a marathon tour and ticked off all the stops," according to the pool report. "He said he was pulling an all-nighter, adding that if you're not going to sleep, 'you might as well be in Vegas.'"
The event took place not long after Obama taped an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, where he blasted Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock's rape comments and poked fun at Donald Trump.

'Zero Dark Thirty' Could Switch Course, Might Not Open Wide Until January (Exclusive)

Kathryn Bigelow's Osama bin Laden pic is still officially set to open nationwide Dec. 19, but theater owners have been told that it might get a more traditional Oscar rollout and only open in New York and Los Angeles on that date.

Sony might take a slower approach with Kathryn Bigelow's awards hopeful Zero Dark Thirty in terms of its theatrical rollout.

The film -- about the CIA's hunt for Osama bin Laden and the U.S. Navy SEALs raid that left the world's most wanted terrorist dead -- is still officially set to open nationwide Dec. 19, but theater owners have been informed it might roll out more slowly.

One idea being floated is to open Zero Dark Thirty in New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 19. On Jan. 4, the movie would expand into a total of 10 or 12 markets, and then go nationwide Jan. 11 -- timed to the announcement of Oscar nominations Jan. 10.
Sony declined comment.
Film companies often roll out a film slowly to build awards momentum and boost word-of-mouth.
In this case, Zero Dark Thirty also avoids the Christmas crush; titles opening nationwide during the 2012 year-end holidays include Les Miserables, Django Unchained, This Is 40, Parental Guidance and The Guilt Trip. Conversely, Zero Dark Thirty forfeits one of the most lucrative stretches of the year in terms of box-office returns.
Zero Dark Thirty is Bigelow's follow-up to best picture Oscar winner The Hurt Locker, for which she also became the first woman to win the best director statuette, and Sony is planning an aggressive awards campaign.

Sony could be borrowing a page from the past. In 2001, the studio and then-partner Revolution opened Black Hawk Down on four screens Dec. 28. The pic added more theaters Jan. 11 before expanding nationwide Jan. 18.
Conservatives have tried to make Zero Dark Thirty a political football by claiming that the film glamorizes President Barack Obama. Originally, Sony considered opening the film before the November general election but pushed back the release date to the week before Christmas.

Fox Boards George Clooney's 'Monuments Men' (Exclusive)

Sony Pictures, under financial constraints, is looking to Fox for co-financing and international distribution of Clooney's World War II art-heist pic; Paramount eyes an Adam Sandler comedy.

Sony Pictures, having pushed a number of movies into future release dates, now has agreed to split the upcoming George Clooney drama Monuments Men with Fox.

Fox will pick up half the financing and distribute Monuments internationally. Clooney first discussed the project with Fox earlier this year while working with the studio to promote The Descendants for awards, but Sony came in as the backer. The picture, set in the World War II era, involves a plot to protect stolen art from destruction by the Nazis. Cate Blanchett is attached as the female lead, and Bill Murray is said to be attached as well.

Sources say Fox explored the idea of acquiring the project outright but Sony, which is said to be operating under significant financial restraint at least through March, held onto half. The budget is said to be something north of $50 million.
Meanwhile, sources say Paramount is looking at an upcoming Adam Sandler project that many insiders believed would have gone to Sony based on the comic actor's long relationship with the studio. The film is described as a broad comedy that will follow Grown-Ups 2, which is set for release next summer.

Austin Reed Sigg Arrested for Murder of Jessica Ridgeway

Austin Reed Sigg, a 17-year old Colorado native, has been arrested for the killing of Jessica Ridgeway, a 10-year old in his neighborhood whose body was discovered last Friday.

Jefferson County District Attorney Pam Russell told CNN that formal charges of murder and kidnapping will be brought against Sigg on Monday, and he will be tried as an adult.

Ridgeway disappeared on her way to school on October 5. Her corpse (described by authorities as "not intact") was found in a park just five miles from where she and Sigg reside in Westminster.

"We hope and pray that this arrest gives them some measure of closure in dealing with this horrible loss and tragedy they have suffered," Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk told reporters upon taking Sigg into custody.

He is due in court tomorrow at 8 a.m.

There's no word on how Sigg allegedly killed Ridgeway or how the tragic event transpired, but a tip alerted the police to his involvement.

Karrueche Tran Plans to Win Chris Brown Back, "Edge Rihanna Out of the Picture"

Chris Brown's recently-dumped ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran isn't giving up on a future with him, according to reports. Guess she's even more naive than we thought.

Karrueche is reportedly telling friends she's not about to throw in the towel regarding her relationship with Chris just because Rihanna is back in the picture.

Sources say Tran was pissed when Brown gave her the chop this month, but never stopped loving him and is on a mission to WIN BREEZY BACK.

Women never seem to learn when it comes to this guy.

One source says Karrueche "got used to certain level of celebrity" while dating Chris, and is not ready to "go back to being basic" ... such pure motivations.

Even if that means hanging out with Chris (which she was earlier this week) while he's clearly putting it to Rihanna, Karrueche is willing to go there - for now.

Her ultimate goal is to "edge Rihanna back out of the picture." Good luck there.

KT and CB dated for about a year, but he broke up with her two weeks ago.

His reason? The guy just loves TOO much. "I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna," Brown Tweeted.

LeAnn Rimes: Rehab Gave Me a Fresh Start

After a month's worth of voluntary rehab for anxiety and stress, LeAnn Rimes tells Katie Couric that she feels like she's been given a fresh start.

"I feel like I am starting over even though I've had all these years behind me," she says. "How many people get to [start] over in this day and age?"

In the interview, which airs tomorrow, Rimes also discusses how her relationship with Eddie Cibrian made her a target for bullies - and celeb gossip tabloids.

The 30-year-old says she's under constant scrutiny: “People look at you and go, 'Why are you struggling?' … No one can quite understand why you hurt so badly."

LeAnn Rimes bullying has been going on for awhile now.

Over time, she says, it can be overwhelming: "It's hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don't even know says about you."

"As much as you stay strong and say you don't want it to penetrate, it does, because you're human."

Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson to Divorce

Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson, the parents of Jessica and Ashlee, are divorcing after 35 years of marriage.

A rep for the famous family confirmed the break-up to Us Weekly via the following statement:

"Tina and Joe Simpson have filed for divorce. It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

The reference to other "allegations" is likely a response to a National Enquirer story that claims Joe came out of the closet a couple months ago and even has a "20-something boy toy."

Joe and Tina were both featured back in the day on MTV's Newlyweds and also became second-time grandparents  in May when Jessica and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew.

Joe Simpson also made news in August when he was arrested for DUI.

So much for 22 days of sobriety.

Law enforcement officials confirm to TMZ that Bobby Brown was arrested this morning around 1 a.m. for Driving Under the Influence.

It's his second such offense in just a few months (and his third since 1996), as the singer was also pulled over and booked on the same charge in March.

Brown was allegedly driving erratically on a Los Angeles street when police officers pulled him over and detected the scent of alcohol in the vehicle.

He then failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

In news that may also be of interest to the troubled artist, rumors are spreading that 18-year old daughter Bobbi Kristina is pregnant.

This will be her first child - and second pregnancy - with second and current husband Jeremy Calvert (above). Catch all that? She miscarried earlier this year.

Leah confirmed the news via her official Facebook:

"Just wanted to let everyone know that Leah IS pregnant & that she and Jeremy & the rest of their families including Ali & Aleeah are very excited :)"

"Thanks in advance for all your words of encouragement!"

Meanwhile, Leah Messer also tweeted yesterday:

"THANKS SOOO MUCH EVERYONE! #PositiveTweets makes this momma soooo happy!!! @Calvert505 are in such a good place! :) Love all of you!"

Congratulations to Leah and Jeremy Calvert... and here's hoping she doesn't get jumped outside of movie theaters this time around. Crazy West Virginian
