Pumped Up Kicks & Hunger Games & 13 Reasons

I am still alive and full of inspiration--just a little (okay obviously not a little, more like A LOT) busy with school, work, life, etc... I promise to be better at sharing the inspiration with my nation. Because I do adore each and every single one of you with all the inspiration in me. You keep inspiring me and I will keep inspiring you.
Lets talk about the busyness that is my life shall we?
Meet my lovely. absolutely amazing. more like sisters aka ROOMMATES in the #306.
Hannah Jane
This is us last Halloween at a dance.
Anyways, HJane and I have been friends since high school... Freshman year and we've been inseparable ever since. She has the cutest hair ever. I am so jealous of her beautiful red hairrrr. We call her big red sometimes, but in all fairness she calls me Charles and I hate that. She is the type of friend that drives me to the store at three in the AM to get children's Benedryl when I am covered in hives or she gives me my Epipen shot... that's a true friend. I run her the spare key she keeps in her pencil case in her room when she accidently locks her keys in her car at work (this happened tonight). She was captain of the dance team. She is majoring in mass communication. She is the Political Science Princess Ph.D and I am Dr. Princess Charley (inside joke) about us majoring in princessing. I have mentioned Hannah several times before. She is OBSESSED with Leonardo DiCaprio as am I. We both are Grey's An-addicts with passions for fashion. Her DVD tower in our living room is almost as tall as me and 30% are starring LEO. Haha Hannah is always telling me random stuff like right now she just informed me Oprah makes $10 a second.

Rian Elizabeth
This is Rian, myself, & Hannie.
Oh how I adore RiRi. We both loveee the Office. She has me hooked! I inspired her to create a list of things to do before she dies! You should make one too! It's Project Wish. It's life changing. Anyways, Ri is a vegetarian. She moved her from Las Vegas. She is such a fun girl. We can relate in so many ways when it comes to relationships and life experiences. She is an amazing cook. We have the best tea chats & are planning on having a fancy tea party because it's on both of our lists to accomplish. She is a sweetheart. Ri is majoring in pharmacy. We have the coolest tea cups ever. Word. Here is a picture :)

Janis Kaylee
Hannah, Rian, and I were roommates last year along with my amazing little sister McHale. This year we got a new roomie. This girl is wonderful. She fits right in with us. We all connected instantly. She is fun and open minded and I love her enthusiasm. She is graduating later this year in finance and accounting. She is so intelligent. Funny story: a few days after we moved in, Janis and I decided to go around our apartment complex and knock on doors to introduce ourselves and meet people. We went to the volleyball court in our complex and three boys were playing volleyball. They invited us to join. We said we preferred to watch. Well I wrote my phone number and name on a piece of paper and decided to put it in the shoe of this super cute blond boy who is LDS (my religion). There were two pairs of shoes on the ground. Janis and I chose the ones that seemed to fit the boy and she was on guard and let me know when none of them were looking and I put the paper in the shoes and we left. Haha. Another silly Charley moment... I haven't heard from the boy :( I hope it was the right pair of shoes!!! Oh and she makes the best blueberry muffins and cookies ever.

Okay work seemed like a horror movie the other day... maggots were coming out of a patients wound, spewing all over the floor, climbing up the walls!!! Ahhhh scary.

Everyone should read The Hunger Games series including The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The best books ever. I have never experienced post book depression this bad. I was left breathless by these books and spent all my free time in Katniss's world. I am still thinking about them. I LOVE PEETA MELLARK. So much that I made a fake Facebook account for Peeta and am now in a relationship on Facebook with Peeta Mellark ;) The funniest part is that many of my friends and family don't read so they think Peeta is real. The saddest part is that I wish more than anything that Peeta was real and that it was true.

Aren't Peeta and I a cute couple?! Haha a girl can dream... this is Josh Henderson and he is the actor who is playing Peeta in the movie version of the books.

Also YOU MUST READ Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher.

This book is absolutely life changing. I am not finished with it but already I am so emotional over it. I would never do what Hannah does, but there are people and stories that have flooded into my mind of the thirteen people in my life who would be on my list that have made my life hell and hurt me through their carelessness and actions and words and who have made me feel like giving up at times. Of course, those thirteen people will never see this because they don't know I have a blog (to my knowledge) nor do they care. This book makes you realize that your actions really do affect people and that all someone really needs to do is care.

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room

I didn't understand the definition of the word busy until these last two weeks...
Between family issues, housesitting, work, getting ready to go back to school, making preparations to move back in with Rian & Hannah & our new roommate Janis, and all the other things in life, I feel like I barely have time to breathe or do much of anything!
I am sorry lovelies that I have been lacking in posting. I appreciate your love & understanding. You, my lovelies, are the loveliest people ever.
WANTED: So one of my best friends (and practically older sister) Brie was having a tough day yesterday... a really bad day. Anyways, she was crying and upset and had to work. She works at a local bookstore. Well this cute boy walks in and starts talking to her. She had just wiped away tears, but you could tell she had been sobbing. This boy asked what was wrong. She insisted she was "fine". He finally said okay and left. A few minutes later, the boy returned with a bag of cookies he bought to cheer her up and then left. CUTEST THING EVER? Aw... that is so sweet.
If you are the cookie boy or know the cookie boy, contact me!
Brie is married and we had a sleepover yesterday for the first time in more than a year (our last one was the night before she got married). Amazing times. She told me she wished she would've asked for his number for me or given him my number but that she was just in shock and stunned at this boy's act of kindness. I wish she would've! He sounds like the kind of boy I want. I had to share how lovely that was of him to do that. Proof that chivalry does exist; more than that, there really is a 0.01% of guys out there who are hopeless romantics.
Really, if you are the cookie guy who gave cookies to my sad friend Brie in Pocatello, Idaho, I want to meet you. Haha :) Seriously though... can you blame me?!
I just finished reading Lauren Oliver's Delirium
I wrote a post about this book earlier this year. I hadn't read it yet but put some quotes from the book I read online. I wrote that I wanted to read it. I thought it sounded amazing. It was more than amazing. I was breathless at the end. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. I finished it in less than a day. That's how absolutely wonderful it is. I will give you a brief summary below, and if you are a bookworm like me and haven't read this yet, I bet you will rush to a bookstore and buy it right now.
Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.
Lena looks forward to receiving the government-mandated cure that prevents the delirium of love and leads to a safe, predictable, and happy life, until ninety-five days before her eighteenth birthday and her treatment, when she falls in love.
I am severely suffering from post-book depression at the moment... I have since I finished this masterpiece yesterday. I am in shock. I related to Lena in an unbelievable amount of ways. I fell in love with Alex as she did. I fell in love with this book. I am in love with it. The cliffhanger this book leaves you on is just torturous. I HAVE to know what happens next. This will be a trilogy. The second book Pandemonium doesn't come out until March 2012! If the deliria doesn't completely drive me mad before then, it will be a miracle.

They say don't judge a book by its cover.
However, these covers are nearly as gorgeous as the book itself.
I'm going to share a few more of my favorite quotes (I shared some in my previous post about the book). If you don't want spoilers, don't read any further. There may be some!
"This is what I want. This is the only thing I've ever wanted. Everything else--every single second of every single day that has come before this very moment, this kiss--has meant nothing."
-Lena Haloway

"The streets are empty by now. The whole city is silent and still. The whole city might have wound down into nothing, burned away while we were in the shed, and I wouldn't have noticed or cared. The walk home is fuzzy, a dream. He holds my hand the whole way and we stop to kiss twice, again in the longest, deepest shadows we can find. Both times I wish the shadows were solid, had weight, and they would fold down around us and bury us there so we could stay like that forever, chest to chest, lip to lip. Both times I feel my chest seize up when he pulls away and takes my hand and we have to start walking again, not kissing, like suddenly I can only breathe correctly when we are.
Somehow--too soon--I'm home, and whispering goodbye to him and feeling his lips brush mine one last time, as light as wind.
Then I'm sneaking into the house and up the stairs and into the bedroom, and it's not until I've been lying in bed for a long time, shivering, aching, missing him already, that I realize my aunt and my teachers and the scientists are right about the deliria. As I lie there with the hurt driving through my chest and the sick, anxious feeling churning through me and the desire for Alex so strong inside of me it's like a razor blade edging its way through my organs, shredding me, all I can think is: It will kill me, it will kill me. And I don't care."
-Lena
Read Delirium. You will become infected with amor deliria nervosa too!

Can you say FIRE?

The mountains across the valley from my parents house was on fire yesterday.
It was getting close to burning down the high school I went to and will love forever.
Luckily, it was contained.
It burned quite a bit of land and one house though.
The view from my parents deck was spectacular especially to see the fire glowing bright orange when the sun was gone and night took it's place.

The Importance of Being Important

YOU are important.
Everyone of you is significant.
Humans have a universal need to feel important. However, most have entirely different definitions of what it means to be important. Some people think unless you are famous then you are a nobody, nonexistent, and definitely not important. I have seen celebrities who have egos nearly bigger than the world we live on who just reinforce these beliefs into girls and boys of all ages. I am ashamed at the actors and singers and performers act like they are royalty and fans are just peasants that don't matter. Why do we stand for this? Our society has always perplexed me when it comes to this issue. Everywhere you go you see and hear about these "perfect" famous people who we put on a higher level. It's ridiculous to me.
Now don't get me wrong, there are a number of celebrities out there who are genuine, down to earth, and truly, madly, deeply care for their fans. The cast of Private Practice is a prime example of this. I admire and adore them for their unconditional love towards their fans. Caterina Scorsone, Kate Walsh, Amy Brenneman, and other cast members communicate with their fans via Twitter. They take the time out of their busy schedules to talk to us like we are their friends. They listen to our questions and try to help answer them. Words can never fully express my love (and the love all PPP fans) held in my heart for them. I also appreciate the time they dedicate to various charities.
You don't have to be famous to be important. You may not be able to change the world, but you can change your world and the world of those you love. I know we all dream at one point or another of being in the limelight with millions of adoring fans chasing us all over, but it's more than that. Find out who is truly important to you. You can be important by reaching out and helping others. Always express your love and appreciation to those who are important to you. Be kind. Fame isn't everything. Love is what counts. In the end, love always wins. I love all of you lovelies. You are important to me. Making someone else feel important is like a chain reaction, it makes me feel happy. What's that old saying... people may forget your name, but they'll never forget the way you made them feel. Truth.
What is important to you?

-Beverly Sills

"What is important is not what someone is but what he is waiting for. Not the events of life but its possibilities."
-Dorothee Solle

"Trust is really important, just in relationships in general. I really don't like people that aren't real people around me at all. I don't like people that are 'yes' people. I don't like people that tell me what they think I want to hear."
-Beyonce Knowles

"It is important not to have the unrealistic expectations that we will find a magic key to get rid of all suffering. It takes determination and patience."

"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."

-Rolberto Clemente

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given, then to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing…

-J.K. Rowling

“We are not powerless. We have tremendous potential for good or ill. How we choose to use that power is up to us; but first we must choose to use it. We’re told every day, ‘You can’t change the world.’ But the world is changing every day. Only question is…who’s doing it? You or somebody else?”
-J. Michael Straczynski

"We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world.”

August Rush

Dearest Lovelies,
Am I the only one who can't believe it's already August?!
Where did summer go?
We're on month 8 of 2011 with only 4 to go!
Where does the time go?
Lets make this August the best one ever, a month to always remember.
One month of summer left lovelies--make each moment count!
Dream big and don't you dare stop believing.
What are your August wishes?
HAPPY AUGUST

Grey's Season 8--Bring Izzie (Katherine Heigl) Back

TEAM IZZIE Season 8
My excitement for Grey's Anatomy Season 8 is something I cannot express in words.
I LOVE Grey's Anatomy (if you are a lovely who follows my blog you are aware of this)!
Everyone I know was devastated and upset to see Katherine Heigl's abrupt departure from the show. There's no question that Grey's isn't and can't be the same without Izzie. She brought something to the show that no one else could. There is a void in our hearts (and Alex's) that only Izzie can fill. I don't think she had a proper farewell. Many fans stopped watching Grey's after she left.
I still love and watch Grey's. I understand Katherine quit because she wanted to spend time with her family. I think it's admirable and agree with her that she puts family before work. I wish with all of my heart that Izzie would come back. Season 8 is rumored to be the last season of Grey's. One voice alone may not be able to be heard by Katherine & Grey's, but we Grey's An-addict unite and speak together, we can make our voices heard! We want Izzie back. Season 8 could be phenomenal and extraordinary if Izzie came back, even for just one episode.
Alex Karev deserves love. Izzie is who he is meant to be with. She is and always will be his true love--this goes for fans too. Anything is possible. Walt Disney (Disney is part of ABC) said himself, "If you can dream it, you can do it." Lets turn our dream into reality! I know we can do it if we try and never give up. Go to the Facebook page I made-- 1 Million Likes To Get Izzie (Katherine Heigl) Back On Grey's and like it! Spread the word! One spark starts a fire. It takes one to start a chain reaction. Keep the fire in our hearts that Izzie will come back spreading until it's as bright as the stars we wish for Izzie to come back on and we can be seen and heard!
On August 22, 2010, Shonda Rhimes told Michael Ausiello that finding closure for Alex as one of her top priorities for season 7. Not only did this not happen, but there can never be closure for him given that Izzie is the only one for him. I believe Rachael Taylor is a fantastic actress, but Lucy was a sad choice--too unlikable, unfamiliar, and just not Izzie.
Katherine Heigl had this to say regarding her departure in season 6: "You wish you could have it all exactly the same way. But that's not life... I had to try and find the courage to move on."
When being asked in an interview if she would come back to the show for at least one episode, she answered "I'd love to come back in and out some point. I don't know [if it's possible to go back on the show] I'd like to. I'll give Shonda a call, 'Hey do you need any idea? I got one.'"
I (@TheUSAPrincess) asked Shonda the following question on Twitter, here is her Tweet to me.

 shonda rhimes
.
“I’m open to seeing Izzie again, so if [Katherine] were to come back, we would be thrilled to [wrap up her story]." Shonda told EW in 2010.

Justin Chambers wants Katherine to come back and agrees Izzie was the one, irreplaceable. He expressed his feelings on the matter recently, "There's only one woman for Alex, and her name's Izzie. They were the real deal, or as much as a real deal can be on Grey's Anatomy. That was the love of his life. I would love to see Katherine Heigl return to give their storyline closure. Heigl is so fun, she is one of the funniest people I've ever worked with. She really is a special gal. I would love to have her back. Maybe we will someday."

Lovelies, Grey's An-addicts, fans, and everyone, Grey's isn't just a TV show, it's a part of our lives. We have fallen in love with Meredith, Izzie, George, Arizona, Burke, Cristina, Owen, and the rest. Never has a show touched my heart so deeply. The truth remains though that without all of us fans, Grey's wouldn't exist. The fans are what matter most. We may be just ordinary people but together we can be extraordinary and bring our favorite character back! That could end the Grey's series finale with fireworks shining brightly instead of it fading away.
For the past seven years, Grey's has taught us:
To fight for our dreams no  matter how hopeless it seems because things in life aren't free.
To wish for the big things because they just might come true.
To push ourselves and be relentless.
To stick to our guns, if you want something bad enough, if you're determined enough, if you're patient enough, eventually it will happen.
To hope.
To believe in love, magic, and miracles.
To ignore the odds against us and fight.
That is exactly what I am proposing. Lets follow the lessons Grey's has taught us. Lets bring Izzie back. Clearly Shonda, Justin, and Katherine are up for it (and I know the rest of the cast would be overjoyed for Izzie's return). Have hope lovelies. We're going make the impossible (to a majority of people) possible. Once again, go to this link One Million For Izzie's Return

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given, then to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing…

Pray For London

Pray For London
I can't believe the rioting, violence, terror, and hate spreading through London like wildfire (literally and figuratively).
Where is the love?
Some people are so immune to the constant conflict and wars throughout the world that many will shrug this off and say it doesn't concern them. That's the farthest thing from the truth. What's happening in London could happen anywhere. I have friends in London. My heart is aching for them. I pray for their safety. This has to end. The world needs peace and love. War is never the answer. Violence doesn't solve our problems it just magnifies them. Replace hate with love.
I still believe there is more love than hate, more heart than ache. Let us let this bring us closer together. Let the love within you shine through the darkness. I am inspired by the picture of the positive post it notes that citizens in London have been leaving on boarded up shops. Hold hands not guns. I challenge all of you lovelies to express your love to all those you care about and to kill with kindness. Love will always win.
