'The X Factor' Eliminations: Britney Spears Loses Two Proteges in One Night

It was quite an unfortunate night for Britney Spears in the latest episode of "The X Factor (US)". The "I Wanna Go" songstress had to bid goodbye to two of her proteges at a time in this Thanksgiving-themed week.

Arin Ray was revealed as the act with the lowest vote and was sent home immediately. His elimination wasn't really surprising since Demi Lovato said she was "bored" by his performance of Enrique Iglesias's "Hero" on Wednesday, November 21 night. Britney's final advice for Arin was, "I think you should just take this as a learning experience."

Later, CeCe Frey of Demi's Young Adults team and Beatrice Miller of Britneys' Teens group battled it out for a place in the Top 8. The former sang Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You" for survival, while the latter picked Dido's "White Flag".

Beatrice's performance wasn't perfect, but she sounded better than CeCe who was pitchy at times. However, it's only Britney who was rooting for Beatrice, while the other three judges decided to vote off the 13-year-old girl.

"Beatrice, I don't think this is the right time for you right now," Simon Cowell tried to explain why he chose to eliminate her. Beatrice said on stage, "I just want to tell my sisters that I love them and I'm sorry."

Britney now has two singers remaining on her team, and so does the other three judges. Those who move on to the Top 8 are Diamond White, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Paige Thomas, Tate Stevens, Vino Alan, Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony in addition to CeCe.

The November 22 eliminations show was made merry by the performance of the contestant of British "The X Factor" season 7, Cher Lloyd, who sang "Oath" with Becky G.
