Chris Hemsworth Dishes on Thor and Jane's Relationship in 'The Dark World

Chris Hemsworth is still busy filming "Thor: The Dark World", but he kindly takes time to do some interviews and share some tidbits on the highly-anticipated film. Speaking to MTV News, the big brother of Liam Hemsworth lets fans of "Thor" know what will happen to the Asgardian demigod and his girlfriend Jane, who is played by Natalie Portman in the movie.

Chris says that there will "definitely" be a significant progress in Thor and Jane's relationship in the sequel. "For Thor and Jane, there are some unanswered questions now, since obviously he didn't stop in and catch up with her in 'Avengers'," the Australian hunk elaborates. "Thor might have some explaining to do in this one."

When asked further if Jane feels bitter that Thor didn't even bother to say hi to her during the madness in "The Avengers", Chris responds with a laugh. "I know, right? Where the hell have you been? There's some fun to be had with that," he adds. "And with Loki, we get down to the major bones of our conflict with everything that's come from 'Thor' to 'Avengers' to now."

On the production updates of "Thor 2", Chris dishes, "We have six weeks to go to shoot. This is the trickiest bit, because you can go, 'Oh, yeah, we're past the halfway mark!' which isn't a good idea, because you're not finished yet. You sort of get that second wind about now or you hope to and push on through. But it's been great."

"The look of the film is a lot bigger than what we did even previously. The first one worked and people loved it, but this is with a different director and just has a totally different feel. There's a definite 'Game of Thrones' vibe thanks to [director] Alan [Taylor]."

During the chat, Chris also dishes on his possible next project, "Robopocalypse", with Steven Spielberg. "No one does sci-fi better than him," he gushes excitedly. "It was a no-brainer. And then I read the script and was even more excited if that's possible."

As for the scoop for Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, Chris says carefully, "Honestly, I've heard the same things you've heard. I think if there's an appetite for the sequel, they'll get one going, but there's nothing official yet. I had a great time making the last one, so who knows?"

Last but not least, Chris also weighs in on current hot topic, "Star Wars Episode 7". Asked if he's interested to take part in the massive project, the actor answers, "Oh man, I love those films. That's the sort of bread and butter of my film experience as a kid. I would love to work on something like that. I also loved 'Lord of the Rings'. I would have loved to have done something in that world."

Chris Hemsworth's "Thor 2" will open Stateside on November 8, 2013.
