Country star Taylor Swift is to be honoured for her charity work at a glitzy New York dinner in December (12).
The star will be presented with the Ripple of Hope Award for her dedication to philanthropy by the Robert F. Kennedy Center For Justice And Human Rights at the gala, which will be hosted by Alec Baldwin.
Kennedy Center president, Kerry Kennedy, says, "Taylor Swift's dedication to advocacy at such a young age continues to inspire me, and I'm delighted to honour her as one of our 2012 Ripple of Hope Award recipients.
"As a young person, Taylor has already accomplished so much, and I look forward to watching all that she will do to help build a brighter, more peaceful world for us all."
George Clooney, who works as a United Nations ambassador and makes regular trips to war-torn Sudan, has previously received the award.
