Justin Bieber part 4
As fun as talking about Prince's indifference to the Internet was it is time to get back to a topic that continues to pique my interest. I noticed earlier that Omaha Mall was a top trend on Twitter. I figured that perhaps there was a homicide, or a heist or some other bizarre occurrence there. No it was just another trend talking about Justin Bieber. I was not surprised, but I was amused because Twitter has gone out of their way to make it difficult to find Justin Bieber through their service.
Pundits thought that the days of his being the first, second and third most talked about topics on Twitter were over. But they were wrong on so many different levels. What ends up happening is that topics that actually tell us why his is popularity has ascended the charts, as opposed to people finding him through the simple use of typing in his name, which does not really tell us anything. Justin Bieber is still a hot topic on Twitter, but to those who aren't looking for him it isn't as obvious as it was last year.
When a trend like Omaha Mall is hot it only serves to add another dimension to the loyalty Justin's fans and beliebers have in him. Yeah although that term, belieber, suggests that Justin is an anti-Christ of sorts and although he seems to have a charisma that even Barack Obama would be hard pressed to understand it just goes to show how obsessed Justin's fans are. This is not to say that he does not deliver the goods for his fans though.
This artist will be around for a while. He is a fixture in American pop culture, and tweens of every race, color and creed like his music. Even others that are associated with him such as his disc jockey I found at this site We Know The DJ are interesting. You get to see Justin Bieber attempt to DJ and what happens backstage with his crew. There was even a sick mashup of one of his songs with All The Way Turned Up which sounds so much better than either artist/group by him or their own selves. Why spend good money promoting tweets when he is still the hottest topic on Twitter at the end of the day?
