Emma Roberts & Nikki Reed Team Up on the "Empire State"

Teaming up in the Big Easy, Emma Roberts and Nikki Reed were side-by-side on the New Orleans set of their new movie "Empire State" on Thursday afternoon (June 7).

The two young actresses were in costume and looking hot to trot while stepping out of their hair and makeup trailers en route to log a little more time in front of the cameras.
As for Emma and Nikki's new movie, the Dito Montiel directed drama is centered on "two childhood friends who plan to rob an armored car depository, and the NYPD officer who stands in their way."

Also starring Liam Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Angarano, Jerry Ferrara and Chris Diamantopoulos, "Empire State" is set for a June 10, 2013 release.

Julianne Hough's Daniel Radcliffe Love Note: 'I Never Heard Back!

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Here's a, perhaps, little-known fact about "Rock of Ages" star Julianne Hough: Before she was tango-ing on "Dancing With the Stars" or kicking off her Sunday shoes in "Footloose," the actress was a member of house Gryffindor at Hogwarts.

That's right — Hough, along with brother Derek — was an extra on "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" way back in 2001. So when we caught up with the 23-year-old and her "Rock of Ages" co-star Diego Boneta at the junket for their movie musical (out June 15), we had to ask what she thought the franchise's chances were at its final MTV Movie Awards.
The magical movie is up for seven nominations, including Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance (Daniel Radcliffe), Best Female Performance (Emma Watson), Best Cast, Best Fight (Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes), Best Kiss (Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) and Best Hero (Daniel Radcliffe). But instead of weighing in on the flick's odds, Hough had a special message for Radcliffe:

"Well, I just want to say really quickly: Daniel, I gave you a love note during 'The Sorcerer's Stone,' and I never heard back," Hough said with a laugh, as co-star Boneta looked on dumbfounded.

"I didn't know that!" he exclaimed of her early film role.

"I was in the first one, and you can see me twice," Hough said. "I was Gryffindor."

If only Hough had been sorted into Ravenclaw like Cho Chang, perhaps, then, she could have captured Radcliffe's heart.

Stephenie Meyer Misses Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart On Set

Stephenie Meyer has a lot to be excited about. "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," the final installment of her "Twilight" vampire saga, hits theaters later this year, and the author has already started on her next big-screen project. She is currently working on the set of "The Host," the film adaptation of her sci-fi romance novel.

When MTV News headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, Meyer told us how strange it feels not to have "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart hanging around on set.

"It makes it a lot calmer. I do miss them, though," she said. "It seems funny not to have Kristen here. 'I'm on a set, why can't I talk to Kristen?' That's a little funny."

Although she misses working with the actors she spent nearly five years with bringing Edward Cullen and Bella Swan to life, Meyer has welcomed the experience of filming "The Host." Along with giving audiences the chance to see a whole new cast of characters, it was an opportunity to escape the dark and gloomy weather in Forks. "This [set] has beautiful landscapes everywhere we've been, and so that's been kind of different, too," she said. "We're not in a forest where you can't really see. We've got all this beautiful stuff. It's great."

She particularly enjoyed filming on the cave sets. "It was so awesome. The cave set was enormous. It was vast," the writer said. "They're just so cool, so much fun to walk on. It was kind of like someone built something out of your imagination just for you."
